Does anyone long line with Hi-Tek stuff rod holders? I am looking at getting a trolling bar set made up. Any information on these would be great.

I have used them for I'm guessing 5 years. Love them, never had any problems.
Hi Tek is a great way to go, they are what I use. Very adjustable.
Can you run your rods straight out with the rod tips about 1ft off the water with rods not sliding out?
The answer to your question is it depends on the type of rod you are using. If the back of the real seat catches on the v it will not pull out. If you are not careful and not get it seated right it will possibility pull out. Lost a 8 ft Wally marshal rod with a pfluger president because I did not have it seated right. They are good holders and really enjoy mine
Get Drift Masters and be done with it ....:cheers2
I'm running driftmasters now. Looking for a smoother & faster retrieve out of the rod holders, especially when the Chinese Fire Drill happens. Lol
Never had a problem with my hi teks. Been using them over 6 yrs now.
My first set was drift masters. Put them on the back, now I've got Spider Loc on front. In my opinion they are hard to beat, Very well satisfied with the spider Loc.

Yes great rod holders.
been using a set for at least 5 or 6 years...
Love'em!
My 2 center rods are almost straight out beside the motor. We run 8 rods on a 6 ft trolling bar so the other 6 are on angles.
If your reels will sit inside the holders you will be fine. A gar or striper has a way of "jerking" a rod and reel out of a holder if the reel is outside the holder and the rod is pointed down towards the water (happend to me a couple times although Ive never owned Hi-tec holders). JMO....
