Hi - I've been keeping up with most of the posts while I've been away - have seen a few fish are being caught. With any luck, I'll be able to return to the water next week. With any luck, I might find a few myself.

Yes it is still on. I will be there between 4:30-5am to start sign up. Hope to see a few of yall there. If anyone has any questions please fill free to call or text 337-254-1155.
The tournament last Wednesday took over 3.4 pounds to win.
Hey Guys, sounds like yall fish the Basin so I thought I would put of a post and see if y'all could help me with something.
Just wondering if y'all think the water is going to fall in the next month...
I'm from Shreveport La and used to post on here all the time fishing in the deep reservoir lakes up north. I moved down south and started charter fishing redfish and trout out of Shell Beach and quit posting. Had to spend all my time on my charter website.
ANYWAYS... I have been doing a yearly camping trip into the spillway around this time of year. I put in at Adam's Landing across from Lake Verret. Yall think that is a wash out this year? I am planning the 13th-24th of April. You guys think the river will fall again in time for that? I am guess I would need the gauge at Morgan City to be around 3-4ft for it to be any fun. We usually net baby crawfish, set limb lines, and catch sac-au-lait in the cypress trees down the canals.
Thanks much,
~Fishin' Magician~
Yes. It sure if the river will be at that level by then
Hey Markham, we haven't forgot you. Your name comes up here every now and then. Sorry I can't help with the Basin but hope it all works out for you.

Hey Magician, things should start getting better. The river is about to start falling (slow fall)and things should be settled by that time.
Up until this recent rise we had been catching some nice sac's.
Good luck-
