Eno white bass
Are the white bass biting at Eno by penny bend? I'm thinking about going there tomorrow and would like to know if they are hitting around the bank?? I live an hour away and want to make sure it's worth the long drive Or should I wait next week after the cold front coming in this weekend. Any info is appreciated. I have seen a post a week ago that some males were caught so it has got me excited...can't wait to catch some.

I caught some males. Females are few and far between. Not white bass but I'm planning on shad fishing tomorrow because I think the cold weather may slow them down until at least the middle of next week.

Been catching them at PB for a week now. Buddy of mine went this morning and caught 6 big females.
Check you PM going to send you a message shortly.

Hi. Not trying to butt in, or steal the thread, but is the water at a safe level for kayak? I found out about this a while back, and have been looking for an opportunity to get out there and try it. Maybe tomorrow morning if the weather behaves. Any tips on these? Can you catch them about the same way you catch LMB or SMB, or is it more of a crappie rig thing? Just curious. Thank you.

You can launch you yak on the eno at the wildlife ramp on red mill rd. I would work my way up the eno or flat river. Curley tail jigs. Pink/white/Chartreuse. Jerk baits. Spinner type baits like rooster tails. Not sure about any hot spots from the boat. I leave mine at home and fish from the bank the entire run. Good luck!!

Tried PB today and caught only 1 male and 1 female but lost female as I reeled it in. It was pretty bad out there this morning as most fisherman came and left within 30 minutes. I guess the cold weather got their jaws locked. I'm hoping it will get better tomorrow or Friday or else I'm giving up and try crappie at Jordan.

I was out there today myself, didn't get a hit

I went Tuesday afternoon. Tried the Flat river and Eno. Took a while but finally found some in a few of the deeper holes close to Pennys Bend. I think the cold snap we had earlier this week had the fish looking for some deeper water. I am going to try it from the boat this afternoon. I will let you guys know how we do.

Fished up the eno as far as I could get the boat. Ended up in about 2' of water. Caught around 12 with only 4 keepers. Should have kept the boat at home and fished from the bank. All fish were caught on cork and jig and rooster tail.

Has anyone fished pennys bend lately? Are the white bass still biting?

Was there Wednesday and Thursday and nothing happening. Caught only one or two and that's not at the pool..so I waiting also to hear from someone whether the last two days are any good.

Water at PB is very high and muddy this morning. It should be on fire in the next few days.

Found some clear water today In the flat. Water in eno is still muddy. Fished from the bank for 2 hrs. Caught 25 or 30. Pop r and rooster tail.

Nice...where is the flat? I know PB...sorry not familiar with the area.

You cross over the flat river about 5 miles past penny's bend on old Oxford highway.

Caught 5 male white bass on white roostertail at PB near the trestle. Man that water was cold, even in jeans and waders. But hell it was fun.
-
Very nice...did u see anyone catch them at the pool?

Some were caught at pool below the bridge heading downstream. Did not check the pool above the bridge

4/6: Caught 15 at PB, kept 8. All on 2 inch suspending jerk bait. Caught around the ole trestle
4/7: Caught 1 at PB, kept 0. Caught on 2 inch suspending jerk bait. Caught around the ole trestle
Amazing what a day makes. All fish caught were males, has anyone caught any females?
