We usually go to lake talquin when the wife is out for spring break, but this year she is getting out to late. And with all ive read, the bite will be over most everywhere. So where do yall suggest? Anywhere in Alabama would be fine.

It will be far from over. It will just change. They should be still on brush then if it's not to hot. Docks will be very good at the end of march. Try any of the Cosa river lakes also wedowee and Martin will be great.
Thanks a lot lowe175. I thought about Weis & Logan Martin but everyone is saying Weis is going on now. Our fish in Eufaula is on the banks now. Ive never been to Weedowee or Martin, I will look at them a the end o the month.
Now don't miss understand me the spawn might be over but you can catch them just fine. How do you like to fish?
Martin will still be on.
I prefer to long line troll. But anyway the wife can catch a few is fine with me
Nothing wrong with post spawn Crappie, week to recover and the fish are back to biting.
That's right ditch basser. Let us know where your going and will help you out. I'll be at west point that week.
Wedowee would be great still trolling . Bigger fish are still in creek channels now but will be moving shallow soon. They normally don't spawn untill the dogwoods bloom. This year is a little different. Wedowee is a lot deeper lake than Eufaula or Weiss so it should take longer to warm up.
Knotworking I caught them on the banks Saturday but it may still be going then
It is just beginning on Weiss. Last week of March should be great long lining. Guntersville should be good also
You can catch them spawning on the big G on into the last of April as they do not all spawn at the same time, but the first week of spawn has the most and biggest fish spawning at one time. There is going to be a set back late this week end with a pretty bad cold front with lows in the lower 30's with a possible frost and freeze Monday morning if you can believe the local weather guys . Hope it doesn't hurt the first spawned eggs!

Big G will still be on. Later in the month the fish will be on down towards the dam. They're there now up above.
