Don't say fishing because I don't usually catch on a rise. Looks like a nice day for viewing Lacassine though. Not much action here on CDC so maybe lots are out trying with the sun today.

good luck......thought about you today while dealing with the backed up traffic getting back into Baton Rouge.....not normal for Sunday....report on the CB radio said an SUV rolled over and burned near the MR bridge....backed up for 10 miles...
Good luck. I am going tuesday to fish Streeters and One Mile with Lacassine opening.
Is Streeter's open now?
Tuesday the 15th it opens
How did the water look
I ended up working in the garden and didnt go. I wanted to get it planted before the rain.
Going again tomorrow and I might take a look in the one mile down below.
The water was clear last year in one mile and I did good with a solid chartreuse colored jig.
A friend of mine just went ride out there to check it out. He said there were so many people out there, it looked like an LSU football game was fixin to start.
Was that at the pool? Streeters and one mile usually isn't a zoo like in the pool is. Opening week if you don't get to the launch by 4am you have to park a mile from the launch. People use to line up to launch the day before and sleep in their trucks before wlf stopped it. Too many drunks and fights going on.
Scratched today. Went down to the one mile and the water looks better in there, but is not clear. Had 10 cars at the landing, but I think it's because it's the last day before some more sad weather. Big Mike had 2 after 2 hours. I think most people must have gone North. I didn't try that way, but didn't see more than a couple of boats on the South side. Could hear boats running in Streeter's.
