What a day, what a day! Today I chose to do a little long lining. It was so foggy, to be safe I chose to put in near my fishing location. I cranked the outboard to get the boat of the trailer, shut it off and put the poles out. When reaching for pole #5, two of the ones I had out were doubled over. That's the first sign you know it's going to be a good day. I've had many of great day crappie fishing, but can't think of one as good as this one with big fish. I caught over 100 fish today, could of been more if I had chose to stay at my starting location. Of those 100, 40 were of 1.75 lb. or bigger. Once a few other boats infringed on my starting area, I decided to go look for more fish. I couldn't of stopped the boat in a better new location. I got the poles out, looked down at my phone, looked up and two of them were bent over. First fish in was a nice 2.20, second fish was a fat 2.60 lb. mama. I only weighed a few fish, but feel certain my top 7 would of pushed close to 17 lbs. I finished the day with a dozen fish two pounds plus, but no threes. I'm still jacked up, but ready to give the fish a rest until next weekend. It's been a fine couple of days!
