There will be better days for sure but you can always go to Clear Creek and fish with the tourist and catch a few.
It has come up .61 in 24 hr's. And very little of the runoff has hit it yet. Here at the house we have had close to 7 inches so far and still coming down. Going to be raining all day and through most of tomorrow and some Saturday. It is going to have an effect on all these lakes. But like Yike's said if you want to go sit in clear creek with the crowd you can probably catch a few fish. Big thing is going to be what the wind does after this rain front goes through. They keep predicting high winds with even higher gusts.
Most of the heavy rains are still west of the lakes. Areas along the Mississippi river have got some heavy rains and still coming.
It will be a mess. Wouldn't waste the money to come to sardis. Fish aint been to good at Sardis before this rain anyway. Been catching few one day then nothing the next day. Just like last year.
I hope it goes to 280' lol. It needs a good spawn
Lake Washington is the best!!! Only low profile great vegetation area lake is Ross Barnett!!!!!
Here's what I use on my laptop. Breaking News, Weather, Traffic and Sports - WMC Action News 5 - Memphis, Tennessee
Move the curser to the weather. 2 maps will pop up, I click on the "interactive radar". The map can be moved around and close or far away.
Click on the weather, enter a zip code and find a 24 hour and a 5 day forecast.
I talked to a friend of mine in greenville this morning who works for scott and he said his morning has consisted of catching propane tanks that are floating away! I dunno how sensitive washington is to water levels but they are getting a ton of it down there. But the big lake are next in line.... all this rain will mess em up pretty good I think.
Dang Yikes... you just called KDavid a tourist !
Hahahahaha
It's looking like my trip planned for the 18th for a few days is not gonna be much account. With the weather your getting. But only time I can make it do to work. So at least I hope it has settle down a bit before then. So we can catch a few.
Second week of April is usually the best fishing spring grew up and warm weather and water!!!
It won't be hard to miss me out there. Be the guy that looks lost, Most of the time. I be in an 18' Jon with a prodrive mudmotor on it. If you see stop a say hi.
You can go above hey 7 where them big mommas hit hard!!!!!!
Sardis is sure to be a Muddy Mess for the next couple weeks.
She is rolling. Drove to hurricanne and its rising up.
The weather is calling for much more rain from now thur next week. Sorry!!
Yep after 4-5 days it will bring all the bait around the only quality cover in the Whole Lake!!! It is gonna be off the Charts Good next Week!!!!
I went over the Tallihatche yesterday morning and it was moving pretty fair. Came back across this morning about 10:30 and it was up at least 5 feet from yesterday and full of trash, brush and anything else it could tear loose and supposed to get more rain. Sardis is going to be a mess for a while. Already got a Enid report that it's muddy and full of trash at the dam..
I went down to Billy's and Long Branch on the four wheeler today. If I had good enough balance I could've walked across the lake at either point and not got my feet wet. It was as full of trash as I've seen...there were some big trees floating in there. I would've thought it impossible for them to float in on a creek but we've had a lot of rain over here over the last two days.
BOY OP.. turn off your caps lock... bout done blinded me.... We got flooded and will remain the same with chances thru this Sunday. Monday thru Thursday next week is sposed to be nice.. but with all the rain it will make finding crappie a little tough.. another high water spring looks like. Should be some monster fish to be caught easily if we ever get a dry spring again, not complaining at all. Let them grow big and plentiful... I'm sure I can still get one or two this year hopefully; -)
I like your thinking there Snubby. Couldn't agree more.
Below the spillway on a Barnett should be some pretty good fishing with all the water I saw down there today. Betcha it floods the parking lot down there.
