Yesterday, So Ill public lake, black/chart jig, 4 ft. Weighed twice and turned loose. 2 lbs 6 ozs. Poor day overall only caught 9 others.

Let the DNR know you caught it. They track that information. It's important they know all the details, size, length, date caught, etc...
The local fish biologists track that information. If you don't knwo your local biologist, post up the lake and we can get you his/her number. Yes, Illinois has a female fish biologist.
