They got me good last night.... My BIG tackle box, all my spare tackle, HB597 DI unit, SI unit, rods and reels.....the works. They got EVERYTHING. No more fishing for me till I can sort this out and replace it all. Really trying hard to remain Christian today......BUT....Really hope that heavy tackle box drags them to the bottom and holds them there till the bubbles stop!

That's just sad, what our society has come to. Was this at a lake? Hope they find them and return all your stuff.
Tell us more about the events. How'd they get it? Etc...

That is awful sorry you had that happen. Something I always think about when considering leaving gear unattended. It's often not practical to pack everything up and lock away in every situation when in use.
If you don't mind me asking did you leave it overnight tied to a dock, or in the parking lot while you eat in a restaurant or something? Maybe there would be security cameras from a nearby business that you could inquire about before too much time passes? Probably a long shot but may be worth a phone call or two just in case.

Sorry to here they ripped you off. I went out last night and brought my sonars in the house after reading your post. If you had your sonars registered with Humminbird they will have the serial numbers so you can let the pawn shops and police know the serial numbers. I hope they catch ever who did this.

Sorry for your loss! They hit me a while back and I keep it all under lock and key now!An 11 year old girl around the corner stole mine. I had give the girl several rods and reels and tackle for her to fish at her house on the lake across the street. Guess that wasn't enough.Got a tip from a neighbor that lives over by her and he had seen some my gear sitting in their front yard. I got over there and called the police. They arrested her the next day.Just can't be too safe no matter where you live!Hope you get it all sorted out soon and can get back on the lake soon!

That's why I sit in the truck at the grocery store or wal mart in Oxford, New Albany Etc. Locked and Loaded FER The First SOB that messes with someone in my presence!!! Also have tore one door bout off BMW and pulled my pistol several times!!! It's getting worse every day and the Police 99 percent of the time are a Few Minutes away and the Thugggs know it!!!
Suckers are lower than a snakes belly in a muddy wagon track. I had mine stole one time too. Their momma s begged me not to press charges, but not long before, they stole a friend of mines stuff and he gave them a pass. He told me about it, so I sent them before the judge. Hope it helped them. I explained "tough love" to the mommas. Hope she got it too.
Man thats terrible! I hope they find the worthless folks that stole your stuff and hopefully you get some or all of it back.

Thanks guys, hopefully, we will hear something this week. I'm supposed to meet with the inspector later today. Sadly, this took place at my house on the Ross Barnett. I took everything out of my boat and put it in my Tahoe after fishing. Woke up the next morning to go again and my truck was empty. Whoever did it knew what they were after. Left a few items of value not related to fishing but took everything fishing related. Even the jigs that were loose in a cup holder are gone.
Put you sunglasses on and start sneezing around the Rez I suspect you wifi see some fool with a rod and reel you put together!!!!
Wow that's awful, real sorry you are going through this. Almost sounds like it was someone that was familiar with the fact that you had fishing gear opposed to a random smash and grab.Quote:
