When you launch your boat just look at your contours, adjust the offset until the contours and the water depth match. Should be like minus 15 or so right now and yes it works very well. Also highlite everything 5 foot and less as shallow water and it will help a lot too.

blows my mind that it knows how to adjust like that
After using Lakemaster cards for a few years, I wouldn't want to have to go back to the other brand. Being able to highlight a certain depth is critical for me to troll most of the areas I do on KY and Barkley Lakes.
Yes, the level off-set works great everywhere I have used mine. I usually set my shallow water red zone at 4 feet deep. It's scary to put in that water offset and see how many red areas show up 1/2 miles from shore here.
Yes. Very important this time of year to set it- make the lakemaster depth the same as your depth finder depth- then highlight shallow water. I also highlight from 5 to 10 feet. Once you set it it doesn't matter if your sonar is on your trolling motor. Pull it in and the gps and your map will show you where you are and the highlighted depth changes around you or ahead of you. Very cool.
If anyone has a clue as to when Barnett will be added to the Lakemaster, please post.
I keep sending my request to add it like I know lots of others do. Heard nothing.
I have Ver 3, was told that was the latest. Do you have a link to that one you are talking about?
thanks
I think this might get you close.
lol
Well the link didn't work. I'll try again but you can go to Humminbird.com then go to chart select and it shows Ross Barnett in HD..
It's down load able on chart select.
Thanks, ima give it a try.

Grenada was surveyed @ 215. Just subtract or add the difference of this and the current water level. If the current water level is 201 the you adjust -14 ft. If the current level is 220 you adjust +5 ft
Thanks for the help. I got an SD card, formatted it with the FF unit, put it into the PC, created an account, purchased the map, down loaded Ross Barnett, copied it to the formatted SD card, put it my unit and here it is. Very easy.
Scott and I fished in the channel out from Tommy's and our track was still there. Very interesting to see it in high def, along with many other areas I viewed.
$8 for a 4 gig SD(2 min)
$29.95 for map.
Only one map allowed per SD card
O, well. It's upside down.
EZ does it show much of the lake above 43?

Glad to see it worked out Mr. Gene. I see you've got a Helix 10. I really like my 9.
I like the new Helix units. Just installed two 12" on a new Ranger I sold yesterday. Don't like the fact you have to buy an adapter for the Ethernet connection tho.
Hey Scott, follow this thread for individual maps.
The Helix 10 has a higher resolution than the 9, but more $. Same physical size but 10 has a little larger screen. I haven't had a chance to really get out and try it. I'm going soon come Hell or High Water. Looks like it may be both if I go any time soon....
