Tuxedos on the Bonne Idee

Fishcation started Friday, got my Poverty Point itch out the way Saturday, caught some fish but didn't get a unicorn. Everyone and there uncle was there trying to catch the mate to Mr Hosea's giant he caught friday.

Anyway enough of that, didn't feel like fighting the crowd so to the Bonne Idee I go looking for some tight line action on the cypress trees.

Took my about 15 minutes to get my first bite. I think I tossed the jig into her mouth, she nailed it soon as it hit the water.

Pic up and move a couple times looking for some active fish when I hit 2 more back to back.

The rest of the day it's just one here and there. We need a few more warm days to make them move in good.

Got a tickle at this. I think they should scratch out the word video and insert the word cat. There's 3 more cats just to the left out of frame. They had all walked down to the water edge to watch me.

Looks like a great catch and a pretty area to fish. Not sure about those 'cat operators'....a little nip and anyone could walk away with your possessions and they wouldn't care. :)

Jimmy you missed your calling; you could be the Bill Dance of the crappie world. Not only can you catch fish you tell a great story (although true story) and take beautiful pictures.

Beautiful pictures, 20watt. Nice catch. They sure have their colors showing. BTW, where is Bonne Idee? I've heard of it, but forgot where it is.

East of Mer Rouge which is in Morehouse parish which if you look at a map Morehouse is the third from the right in the upper right corner of the state, hope that didn't confuse you....

Fishcation can be taxing as well. I spent my day putting up a privacy fence down one side of my yard. We can't all have 100 acre spreads and no neighbors like Tracker.... [emoji20]

Went back yesterday but the fish didn't cooperate. Caught 7 the first hr and then 1 the next 3 hrs but did get this nice pic of a goodun out of the duck weed.

Hadn't seen duckweed like that in years! There is usually some good fish under that stuff as you are proving in your picture! Thanks for the picture. That jig color pattern is one of my go to's also!
