Randy is probably in the tail action there are many different styles of swam baits each manufacturer probably has a different design a little bit different from one another and if you just get that tail just right it will definitely have a nice solid wiggle action.
Yep....its the action.....and they work even better if you use the special slider jig heads he makes as well. The company Charlie Brewer)has been around a long time and they are a major sponsor of Crappie.Com and have been for years.
Action is the keyword
They work great, the tail action is the key, with good bright colors. I use them on all types of jigs, spinners & Underspin jigs.
I think also the profile resembles mosquito fish and natural minnows that are so common in the shallow areas they frequent so much. Just a tasty looking lil morsel of a minnow.
Now that I only use my own I stack mine against the best in the business head to head in as best of controlled experiment most big names I stand tall! Slider is one special bait! Tonight I made a 2" out of clay and baking it to make an open pour! It took over an hour just to get the tail right with the paddle? The tail is so tiny it may not come out of the mold!
Liftbite56 do it sells a thump grub mold that is very close to the slider. I have it and it's a fish catcher for sure.
Do-It's Thump-It grub in 1.5" is a super bait. If you want something a bit larger Jacobs has a couple molds, one in a two inch bait and another in a 1.75". The 1.75" has a companion tail mold that can also be used as a 1" bait.
I use the Do-It paddle tail more than any other bait in my crappie fishing followed by Bass Tackle's 1 1/2" Stinger bait. Right after the stinger comes the Twitchy Minnow at 1.75". The paddle tail baits just seem to get the job done for me consistently with the Do-It model serving me best.
Ill hook you up.

There crude but I think they'll catch fish
They will definitely catch fish may be *********s could design a little bit different say with fish like body put more curl in the tail so you would have a dual action tried to enclose a sketch of what I'm talking about.
