I use the 1/4 oz in the Max...You can get them from Grizzly Jig...Haven't. Seen them discounted anywhere...
I bought a bunch of the RR Outlaw Special jigs. I got the biggest hook they had I guess. I've caught EVERYTHING but a crappie on them, including my carpet, other lines, my fingers, the boat, and everything in between. Nary a crappie though. I even put three minners on two of them Saturday (one on each of the three hooks on the Outlaw Special). Not a bite!!!

I like the outlaw max, but so far, the crappie don't. I'll give em another chance tho. I'm convinced they will work. I just haven't used them when the fish wanted them.
Do y'all usually use plastics on the rock ports or just straight tipped with a minnow? And do y'all use the middle hook?
Either or both. I tried three minners on mine at Washington. Zilch!! No tubes tho. Didn't have any in my buddy's boat.Quote:

I finally caught a fish on the Max.
I dropped an Outlaw Max in the live well and snagged a crappie I'd already caught on a Minner Critter when I retrieved it. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

I bought the Max (3 Hook model) for a specific application..
That was running a single jig In shallow water when there was a light bite..It works well for that..If a fish hits..he is hooked..at times..the rattle will help..at times it will hurt..the down side for me is if you get a regular bite...all three hooks are in the fish..hard to release without hurting the fish..I will only use them in tournaments...My 2 cents
