I have recently moved from the eastern panhandle of West Virginia to the south part of Belmont, and live very close to Lake Wylie at the Lower Armstrong Bridge. I am mostly a kayak fisherman these days. What's within an easy paddle that can put some tugs on my lines? If the grandkids are up visiting as the weather warms, and I put them on my boat, it would nice for them to see some action as well. Thanks for the advice.

I've caught fish all around the Buster Boyd bridge, just need to watch out for the crazies in the summer time.

The "hot hole" is a good place to start. It is up river on the right from the lower Armstrong Bridge. The bridge itself is good place to fish. Welcome to NC.
Welcome to CDC! There is a lot of good fishing in that area, both up stream and down. Lake Wylie is a tremendous fishery. Just put in and start fishing!

Not exactly a monster, but 12 pounds of Flathead was towing the yak around last evening.
