Nice!
Nice catch
Nice can't wait to get to go back and one pole fish that lake
Will be down there March 11-13 for a wedding.. Never fished the lake before, but plan on bringing my boat to pass the time!
You will hit it pretty close ducker. Keep me in mind before you head up and I may be able to guide you in a good direction. I'm going down south that weekend to fish for Red Fish, which is my second favorite fishing.
Nice, I love that lake
Wow! Nice catch.
Nice catch. The MCC guys had a great tourney there a few months ago. Bird Down won it with a big weight. I think the majority of the teams trolled.
I might head over this coming weekend. Winds supposed to be light. Down near Crowsnest?
What is crows nest?
A Peir
Yeah, I had to fight the wind so I fished towards Max's place where the wind was not as bad. I haven't set my boat up to troll yet so I was poling it. they were very slow but it was relaxing!!!
OK thanks wasn't sure sorta new to crappie fishing. used to fish eagle a lot; catfish and bow fishing when I lived close to there .never heard of crows nest and was thinking of trying eagle again now that I've taking a liking to crappie fishing
Not sure where Max's place is but I usually hit that ledge from Crowsnest back towards the ramp for about a 1/4 mile this time of year. Wonder if they're started stacking up straight across from Crossnest on the ledge yet? I wold ASSUME that's where they stack before they head shallow
I wish I had more free time to fish it. Barnett is 5 minutes from the house so I usually go there. Crowsnest is maybe a mile or so from the ramp on the South side of the lake. Just look for the 50 11 boats all piled up together lol Some good bream are caught there as well. You just have to get there real early. 30 minutes after you can see, that whole pier is slammed. Pretty sure we're going in the morning. Light winds but 32 degrees early
Thanks for that info don don I mostly fish Barnett too I live in rankin county now but I spent a lot of time at eagle I remember seeing all the guys in waders fishn the willow bushes with stringers of crappie and gators following them like puppies!
I don't like them gators lol Why I don';t wade Barnett. I DID wade it last year one time and caught fish but when you see a 3 foot wide path through the reeds, you know it took a big gator to make it lol. I live in Castlewoods now and can be at the Rankin laugh in 5 minutes
