What prop and will you tell me how many rpm's it will push after break in. Thanks.
23 pitch Power Tech Yamaha prop. Trying to hit 6000 rpm's. Depends on lots of other factors. Jack plate height, etc. only hit 5200 rpm's today, but was going 62 there. Needed a few minor adjustments on the throttle cable and Hot Foot. I made the adjustments, but didn't put it back in the water. Should push 70 when I get her tweaked.Quote:

I like it. Is it a 20 or 21 ft. Please let me know if it will hit top rpms with that prop. I have tried 4 prop setups and can only show 5700 rpms. Perfect conditions with just me and medium equip, my 20 ft will hit 65.
It's an H20 PFC. It isn't going to have any trouble hitting the 6k rpm's. I just needed to tweak the throttle linkage and the Hot Foot. With the hydraulic jack plate, I can raise it enough to get the rpm's as long as I maintain the speed and water pressure. I have had boats that actually ran faster at 54-5700 rpm's. They had manual jacks tho and I got tired of messing with them. [emoji23][emoji23]Quote:

Because Xpress doesn't package with Suzuki and Yamaha gives us a big package discount to use their engines on the Xpress. All of my stock Rangers have Suzukis on them. I sell lots of them to the commercial fishermen and catfish tournament fishermen that fish the Mississippi River and other big river systems like the Ohio, and the Tennessee rivers. They love em because they never fail. Day in, day out, they start, run, and don't break down. Down time is expensive for a commercial fisherman or guide.
