A successful mold mod

Finally pulled the trigger on the Ultra mold. I wanted something I could fish with plastics or tie and had a swivel and blade. It can also be poured without and not have much to trim. A little work with a high speed grinder and a carbide bit after measurements and I shot my first batch. Was pleased with the turnout, as with all molds I need to figure out which temp it prefers to be poured at to get a consistent product.

Thanks fellas. Those are the smallest ultra head you can pour 1/8th oz. need to pour and paint a couple hundred along with some 1/4 oz for long poling crappie

Real nice job on the mod and the paint too. I have often wondered if a hook could be made to go in a drill and through the eye of the swivel to give them a fast spin to clear the paint, should any get in the swivel during painting. Those should do just fine, thanks for sharing it with us.

Those are some kind of nice. Wish I could paint like that. For future reference, if you have a regular dentist ask him for some used bit's. Mine gave me a small box of about 10 different ones, found a adapter kit at lowes that had a really small one to fit those tiny bits. They work great on molds for real fine work. Much better than the ones that dremel sells.

That is a great mold and very consistent painting on those heads. Well done.

Cray I carve duck decoys. I have a lot of non dremel bits to run in my high speed (30,000rpm) handpiece.
