We are looking into buying a set of rod racks for our 12' spider rig rods. What's the best rack they make? What do y'all do for rod storage during transport? We r getting tired of fighting tangled lines!
Thanks guys!

Cumberland Crappie rod holders. Give Terry and Ronald a call.
I bought a rack from Cumberland Crappie. I really love the rack. I use 12 and 14 ft poles on my Bass Tracker 175.
Very nice folks to work with.

We use Cumberland Crappie "Rod Transport Rack" that holds 8 rods. They also make one that holds 16 rods

Tangled lines go away when you put them in a transport rack. I use Creek's Rod Transport Rack. I leave my rods in the rack traveling as well as on the water. These are mounted on a base plate and easy to remove from the boat if you need to. Creekslick is a member and has his transport racks in the Classified section or you can click http://www.crappie.com/crappie/-memb...ransport-rack/
There are lots of different designs, just have to find one that fits the way you fish.
most of the site people that make rod racks will work with you to make the rack that's suitable for your boat and the way you fish. I talked to Scott at Hitecstuff about what I wanted and he came thru for me. He or any of the others do make good products and stand behind them so the choice is yours.

Attachment 229855this is the one Hitecstuff made for me. I have carried as many as 12 rods on them. I just have to be careful to make sure any loose ends like jigs hanging down are secure to keep from tangling up.
I,ve carried 10' and 14' from Louisville KY to Ky lake with no problems
Thanks guys for all the input. We ended up goin with Driftmaster rod racks. I made some aluminum bases to make the mount stronger.

I tapped the mounting plate too so the holders would have more thread than with just the plate that came with them. I used the holes from the front cleat to attach it to the rail and lag screws on the back deck for the rear holder. That way I didn't have to drill any new holes in the boat. I can rock the whole boat with each holder. Also, no part of the rods or holders hang out past the fenders of the trailer. Can't believe how much room it opened up on the front deck. Now I just have to mount my new 83/200 transducer and we'll be ready for the pre-spawn. Can't wait!
Looking for some myself

I like the look of these too; just haven't decided.....decisions.
The best rod storage that u have ever used. I don't remove them for travel either, and I leave my rods in them all the time.

Im using driftmaster tipsavers and they work well. Metal is coated with rubber so it doesn't damage rod or line.
I have used the driftmaster and also the cornfield crappie and I like the cornfield better.
