Has anyone wet a line in Henderson lately? I see the water's been dropping. Anyone know the water temp? Wondering if they're spawning in there yet. :pray

yep.....not many caught by the folks I talked to......6 max.....me 1..........temp 55 deg......I didn't get a bite shallow.....course, the normal spawning beds are 10 deep right now......it's coming tho.....
Thanks for the report. Can't wait till they turn on.
I went yesterday evening, water temp was 53° and still too much water in woods. Hopefully the fall continues.
Fished today in the flats 9 foot of water still not one bite. Fished the railroad piles spider rigging and got to 25 foot of water fishing 17 foot deep. Slow day for sure but looking good if the water continues to fall
ya got a couple of foot rise coming for the next 10 days then another fall.
wish we could save some of that water for the drought
The rise the river will get wont affect Henderson with the amount of water the river has lost it takes about 2-3 days till it is noticeable on this end. I would say the river is about 2 foot lower than Henderson now.
Hey RGG,
That's some good info for the folks IMO.
My eye is on Old River Morganza right now. :)
I looked at the Lake Pelba, Atchafalaya River at Butte Larose, and the ms. river at red river landing gauges of the last few days. Looks like as you said the Atch. river is 2 foot lower than Pelba, but the fall is very similar. The red river gauge shows 47,46.5,46.25, and 46.25 over the last four days.
Henderson right now is down 2 feet from it's highest level.....need about 3 feet more drop......
Same over here in the mobile delta :banghead. Water high and muddy
Had a post on my Facebook page a gut caught 11 sacs. Between 4-8-ft deep. Looks like they starting to move up. I am getting all my things together this morning and heading out there
