Saturday, April 2nd. Thanks for posting.
Thanks Don! I bet I can make it for that one.
50.00 entry fee and only paying 300.00 for first ??
7. Entry Fees—If you preregister by March 25, 2016 the entry fee will be $50 for each boat which automatically includes a $10 big fish entry. After March 25, 2016 and up till April 2 at 7:45 am the entry fee will be $60 per boat. Please preregister. Payout will be 1 in 5 boats. After each 5th boat a place will be added (in example 6 boats enter, two places will be paid, 11 boats enter, three places will be paid and etc.) Entry fees will be cash only. Entry fees will cover boat launch fees at Cummings Camp only and license are each person’s responsibility to take care of. We will follow a 100% payout. I will add $500 to the pot and if more than 40 boats I will add $750 to the pot!
8. Big Fish – Each team will present their selected big fish to be weighed and considered for the big fish award. One fish per team will be weighed. (Hot Seat Provision Applies) The big fish payout will be 80% to the single largest crappie and 20% to the second largest crappie. Both places cannot be won by the same team since each team is allowed only one big fish to be considered per tournament.
And I'm betting there will be way more than 40 boats
I Would love to fish it but happens to be same day as the CACA 's Big Fish tourney / free kids tourney on Lake Dardenelle , you can fish as many people as want out of the boat and everyone is allowed to weight 1 big fish
Same as crappie Masters also !!
Crappie Masters Has nothing scheduled for April 2nd that I know of?? But Greg is correct CACA is having a free kids tournament and 1 Big fish tournament on lake Dardanelle and more details will be posted after our meeting Saturday evening. The RULES for the lake Erling tournament sure do look familiar.

My bad I was thinking last week in march.
Hey man there are some seriously good crappie fishermen on Lake Erling. I can promise you that the competition will be fierce. But I appreciate the vote of confidence. If the tournament was in July I'd feel more like I could at least place. I can tear them up in the spring, but they are mostly males. You will have to have the big females to win in early April and they are a little tougher to find.
Well the tournament came and went. My wife and I prefished the lake several times and did well, but bombed on the day of the tournament. It was the worst day of fishing we had. Here are some pictures of our prefishing efforts.Attachment 234370Attachment 234371Attachment 234372Attachment 234373 caught these 4 pigs the day before.Attachment 234374 the big fish of the tournament was 2.3 lb's and we caught at least 4 that size prefishing. I knew the competition would be tough but never dreamed we wouldn't be able to catch a full 15 for the weigh in but we only caught 10 the biggest was 1.94 lbs. Congratulations to the winners.
Nice fish! I know why you didn't catch the good ones on tournament day. You filleted them all while prefishing! Just messing with you Bobby.
Looks like you cleaned the lake out. Nice catch.
