Cam may be talented, but he showed his true colors yesterday. "Superman" isn't supposed to be scared of anything, but "SuperegoCam" was scared to dive for a fumble.......when the game was still in reach! He also pouted like a little kid and had a lousy post game conference. He's not supposed to be happy about losing, but he showed poor sportsmanship in front of his team and fans........and it wasn't because he was misunderstood because he's black. It's because he's a spoiled young guy with a lot of talent and a lot of money whose used to getting his way and last night he didn't get his way.
Peyton showed class, except for the "drink a lot of beer" comment. Didn't see that coming because that's out of character for him, I think. Glad he won and hoping he retires and buys into the Tennessee Titans as a part owner and advisor the way John Elway did the Broncos. Right now, the Titans business end stinks! They need someone with football brains to advise them. GTT

I have sampled lots of different brands multiple times :) and I've not found anything wrong with it. I was just not expecting Peyton to say that not once, but twice. Must have an advertising contract with Budweiser. Either way, "I'm gonna drink a lot of beer tonight" isn't exactly what younger fans probably needed to hear. My son plays high school football and he's told me about some of the after game parties that occur. He's not perfect, but he's never come home drunk and I'm proud of him for that.Quote:

I just thought that was out of character for Peyton. Also, apparently there were lots of hidden messages in the halftime show that I missed while "watching the halftime show." A friend called last night and asked if I saw the gay pride references and the black panther references. I didn't catch that. Maybe I'm just naive? His reference that he was going to drink a lot of beer caught my attention too. I don't even watch pro-football and basically have no idea about any of the players but for some reason it caught my attention and I was a little surprised. I couldn't understand any of the lyrics of any of the halftime show songs, so I'm clueless about that. However, I did notice and mentioned to my wife, that there wasn't much diversity with the dancers and thought it was odd. Apart from that I'm pretty clueless to most veiled issues, if there were any.
It's a legal product and he's a businessman. Don't think it sinks to the level of the half-time Black Panther show.
He did not just say beer, he was specific to a sponsor. Internet said he was not at the team after party at all. As far as the halftime I muted it. Not a Beyondme fan anyway.
Some writers speculate that the reason Peyton mentioned the name Budwiser is because he has partial ownership in a bud distributorship. I have been a Manning fan for years. However, I was disappointed with his comment with millions of impressionable kids watching the post-game interviews.
I read the Tennessee forums, being a fan, and the rumor is that he is vying for a Bud distributorship. Seems reasonable to me, for Peyton to say such a thing. He thinks before he speaks. Omaha!
Oops. Written before I saw RL's post. Horrors! I wonder if he actually drinks that swill?!
With a lot of the players being dope heads, drinking a Bud isn't that bad considering every other commercial is about beer.
Manning was on the Morning Show the next day (well before daylight in California) and didn't look like he had drank a single beer to me even after the all night parties. Budweiser said they didn't pay him a dime to say that, but I'm sure with retirement coming he's looking down the road a bit.
