What a boring, pathetic, lame game
I agree 100%!!!
Good defensive game.
Kof, kof, Kof, scam choking.......
I couldn't get excited in it either, but hope Manning announces his retirement soon before he cripples himself.
ya'll must all have ADD, it was a great defensive game on both sides.
I agree the defense was the game.
I thought it was a good game. Just the guys making plays were on d instead of offense, but I like a 1-0 baseball game too.
good pitching beats good hitting and good defense beats good offense. those other guys need to get tapes of Steve Spurrier and Bobby Petrino's games when at Florida and Arkansas, then they could watch a track meet instead of a football game
Didn't watch it but was really surprised the my Broncos won it. I expected the score to be 52 to 10 Carolina when I saw the score. I also hope Manning retires after this season and go out a winner instead of on a stretcher.
yep, time for Peyton to ride off into the sunset. he is starting to look more like Barney than Andy :yikes
It was a let down for sure. All the hype was left at the entrance point going on to the field. Panthers need new plays to have a better offense. To run the same plays over and over you'll never get though the line that studies your every move. Broncos had their number before they stepped on the field. I do hope Peyton will retire. Eli didn't look to happy about big brother wining. Jealous I guess he didn't do better himself. It was good defense on both parts I agree. Just something happened to Cam to play so sloppy. If they would learn to tuck the ball in they may not fumble as much. Hate me if you will but Talib needs to go. He is going to hurt someone bad one of the days. Face mask is not a handle! :twocents
Did Denver win, or was it a SCAM???
Slow drawn out defensive game, but it went my way, Time to go for Manning.
Was there football game last night? I was in bed by 9PM
Talib is a THUG. He is the one who poked the guy in the eyes a couple of months ago and they caught it on camera. He was fined, but they make so much money, it's like fining me and you a dime. He's one of the reasons that I don't care about pro sports anymore. Sadly, college sports are moving the same way.
Maybe it's because I was rooting for the Broncos, but I enjoyed the game a lot. Tremendous defense...swarming blitzers, secondary players arriving at the instant the ball arrived to knock it loose...As a lifelong fan of the woeful Saints, who typically finish 32nd in defense, it was D play like I never get to see. Cam usually has all day to survey the field and throw the ball. Yesterday he looked lost and frustrated in the face of that pass rush.
They looked the same in the game they lost. Some believe it was a give away then. I didn't see any real effort to win. It seemed like they were just going thru the drill of practice. I told the wife I should pull for the broncos before the game. I wished for other teams to be in the super bowl, just for new blood in the game. Oh well!
Since the league us now plagued with thugs the NFL should introduce a new rule two personnel fouls and your ejected.
What I don't like is all that crap and grandstanding in the end zone when they score. If I were King, the ref would call the play back for unsportsman like conduct and penalize them 15 yards and replay the down. Same thing when they make a big play like a sack or intercept a pass.
Instead the NFL and TV glamorize it, which only makes is worse.
I did like Cam giving the football to kids when he scored, especially a couple of kids in wheel chairs, but most of that stuff turns me off.
In full agreement Ray. I completely lost interest in pro football (sports) a number of years ago for all the reasons you mentioned, along with these talented atheletes getting a free ride through high school and college because of their abilities. Many are uneducated, spoiled, rich brats. If not for athletics, most would become a stasistic. College sports are heading in the same direction driven by the all mighty dollar. No more of my money is getting pissed away to fund these programs. It wouldn'y hurt my feelings it all pro sports would go the way of pay per view and rid local programming from investing money into these franchises.
It's sorta like fishin'. You can make a bunch of trips and slam them things, everything is working perfect, every cast a fish, never get hung up,you are the man! Send me to the fishing Superbowl!
Then you make a trip and take a friend you want to impress, and it's like you can't do anything right, nothing works, your lines tangled, everything comes off the hook, you stick yourself twice bleeding everywhere, you get a nice one in and fumble it and it falls back in,the trolling motor breaks, you fall on the deck and land on the windshield and break it,anchor rope breaks, you kick a rod in......need I say more??
I am currently watching my Number 2 and undefeated Lady Gamecocks get schooled by Number 1 UConn. Both teams are undefeated and have beaten some quality opponents, but we need a serious comeback or we will no longer be undefeated.
Regardless of the outcome, this is college basketball at it's best. None of the grandstanding and "Look at ME" stuff, thank goodness.
The worst super bowls were the ones where Dallas destroyed opponents . lopsided and over by the half .
Has Dallas ever been in the Super bowl?
Any time that Cam Newton gets beat by 14 points I consider it a good game.:biggrin
