Are these real or made up?
The one on Grees says about the same thing every week. Don't think the guy giving the report even crappie fishes
I don't think they're necessarily made up but more often than not they say basically the same thing for some of the lake reports over and over. You'll begin to notice a pattern of reports from the same sources barely changing. It is also important to note the date the report was given sometime they are several weeks old. I'm assuming that's because they couldn't get a hold of whoever gives the info to them so they just run the last one over again but it usually has a date on it. I don't make a lot of plans around those reports.
The guys that report for Nimrod are full of bull . The good old boys trading post has been shut down for years and owner sells salvaged motor parts . He never fishes but keeps his phone # out there for selling parts . The other one is Whiskers in Perryville and most of the time report is the same .
I don't pay much attention to these reports. For the most part I think the reports are made up.
The ones for maumelle are spot on:scratchhead
I made em up when I did it. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
The fish I go after must not read the same reports because they don't know how or what they are suppose to be biting.
They must a looped recording that it never changes
Reports are a good read, but not much to determine if a person is going to catch a fish today.
The problem with the reports is that there isn't much info from fishermen during hunting seasons. No info equals a repeated report. You can get better info here or Facebook.
Best reports are the one's you write. I keep mine to my self so i never up set people.
CNN has the best reports in Ar. .....:fish
H @ H Lake Conway Fishing report
Bream fishing has been good on red worms. Crappie has been fair on minnows with a few being caught on jigs. Large mouth Bass has been great on pig and jig. Muskee is fair to meddling if you fish the right bait and can find them.
I used to live up in Kansas. The guy who did the fishing reports never caught a fish in his life, and couldn't catch a fish if you paid him a million dollars for it.
The way I've always looked at is like this, If you wait to hear a good report, you've waited too long. Go fishing and make your own reports.
Just go fishing. Your best report would be
A journal that you keep.
The fishing reports just like the duck reports used to be fairly good and helpful for the average person who doesn't get to fish or hunt much. Now a days people think they own the ducks, lakes, fish and offer little information. Complain because some caught some fish where they fish etc etc etc. sad but so true.
Sad to see the world has gotten so engrossed with themselves and envy.
Quick story ... I worked for the biggest sporting goods store in town and had a booth at the annual boat show. One year we were set up right across from the kids fishing pond (postable swimming pool). This "pond" was stocked with 8-10 inch trout for the kids to catch. Our hero, the radio fishing forecaster, went over there, on the air ... and caught a little bitty trout. He carried on like it was the biggest fish in the world. My boss who had know him forever said "that's probably the first fish he ever caught".
On our home lake "G" we just follow creek and do what Creek does.LOL. He catches 3 lb crappie in his sleep.Eat,sleep's crappie fish'n.LOL
When my kids were small, we fished the trout tank at the show in Jonesboro. We fished through one time and caught nothing, but watched to see which jig was "hot". We went back down on the floor and bought a whole bag of the color they were wanting and cut them down to about 1/2 size. By the time I ran out of dollar bills, the kids about had the freezer full. About the 4th or 5th trip through, people started asking for fishing tips. I told them what jig and how deep, but not where I was fishing (force of habit):Rofl
One mans chain pickerel is another mans muskie.
I think the brown trout are on the move in Conway too.... crawdads. My fishing source sent me this picture of the one he caught.
