can anybody help me in finding the dynamite hole (what I'm I looking for, any signs) in Lake Okeechobee... Belle Glades launching out of Slims Fish Camp... Thanks
Never heard of it. But will check with a bass tx guy at work tomorrow if nobody chimes in.
Best I can remember it is off the rim canal below Roland Martins Marina. I think it is marked on the Okeechobee map they sell there.
I've heard of it but that's all. Sorry I'm no help.
We come down in April to fish for Bream/Shellcarckers and usually spend several days in the Glades Oscar fishing. That is so much fun makes you forget about any other kind.
I've only been down the last 2 years, but some of the guys are going on 36 years coming down. They pointed the "Hole' out to me when we were in the lake, but all I remember is that it was down below the Marina off the canal.
Here is a link to the map I think we were looking at. It shows the dynamite hole and I think it is at cut 92 off the canal. When I tried to zoom the map it got hard to read.

If you know the general area ya might be able to spot it on google earth. You can scroll different time stamps and find pics with no wind or sun reflection and zoom way down. I have been able to find trees and such like that. Should be able to see deep holes fairly easy.
Thanks
It’s about three miles east of the Clewiston lock. It’s the first major opening on the left when you leave the lock going east. It’s a good fishing hole but gets a lot of pressure.
Dude! Where you been hiding? Good to see ya post again.
I've been lurking and taking in all the pointers from the experts. Hope to make the next slabfest/gathering.
RUSTY!!!.....good to here you're still kicking around ......
did not find the dynamite holes but I found these....
