That time of the year you need to fish little jonathan, behind 68 bridge. Put your poles out and drift.
We staying at the sportsman lodge , Thanks we will try that.
You may want to give the mouth of J. Creek a try also. Right side 100 yards out from last boat dock on the riight. Several mounds and brush piles, plus a few drop offs going from 8-10' down to 15-20'. Good spawning banks also. GL
We will take look at that while we're their ,Thanks appreciate the info:)
While there, you also may want to head a little more south to Blood River. I was in the same place you are now last year, notknowing where to go on the Blood River. It was pretty obvious when I got there. The earliar in the spring the closer they were to the 50 boats fishing near the mouth of the river. As it warmed up each week, we just kept moving back into the river. Boats are everywhere but don't trust that everyone isin the right depth.
Last year we watched a ton of boats stay out deep where no one was catching any slabs. I moved up into 5 foot of water and they turned on at the snap of a finger. What really amazed me was, not to many boats shifted their positions.
Look for the crowds and then keep changing things up from jig color, depth, size, and type. Once I keep catching fish ona certain combination, I switch all my poles to match that combination. Things change quickly with temperature, sun light, and weather so you may have to change also. Good luck.

ive been to jonathan creek for the past two years, going back there 4 -1 -07thru4-6-07 ,we do the best in the afternoon when the wind picks up drift fish tube jigs just off the bottom, even a little white caps we still catch fish.i prefer the lake side of the bridge ,between the bridge and a deep creek bed, will you be there in april? make sure you go to the dinner bell restraunt ,great all ya can eat!!!!!!1 crappie ken
There's two towns called Rex, Ky ... but, only one Possum Trot, Ky. (though there is a Possum Trot Rd that runs out of Rex, Ky - off 570 over to Pascal Rd) If there's a "place" called Possum Trot along that road ... it's not big enough to be classified as a town or city.Quote:

There's still *another* Possum Trot just outside of Hindman in Knott county - not far from Carr's Fork Lake!:)

The Possum Trot I live in is about half way between Paducah & Ky. Lake. It's a small community. Has the "Welcome To" and "Come Again" sign on the same post! And by the way that's Monkey's Eyebrow. :DQuote:

You like studying maps ... you're sure to have run across many towns with the same names, scattered around the state. But, check this out -Quote:

On the subject of Possum Trot Road ... I have a 1997 KY Atlas & Gazetteer --- it shows the road, but doesn't show any cities/towns/townships/communities\etc with the name "Possum Trot". The road probably DID get its name from such a "place" -- but, it appears to not be recognized any longer. It shows the Rex, Ky in Hart Co --- but does not show the one in Harlan Co (nor does it list it in the index), like Mapquest does (just outside of Harlan, Ky) ... so it's either "new" or a very small town. ...cp
No, I live in the suburbs of Possum Trot not in the downtown metropolitan area. :D It's a madhouse during rush hour! You turn and go back towards the river to get to my house.Quote:
