No need to use 3 ways, just tie a double overhand knot about 5'' long,and drop down about a foot put on a barrel weight about 3/8-1/2 oz. with about 4 0r 5 loops through in the weigh. Drop down again about12'' or so put another jig with double overhand loop knot. Your ready...

I have Sampo Ekono 3way swivels, size #6 .... 12pk (but they're older than dirt :Rofl )
I believe they're sold under the name Rosco 3way swivels, nowadays.
Do a Google search for - 3way brass swivel - then click on the "images" link ... and you'll see how many different versions there are out there :Rofl

If you tie a dropper loop with a twist you can cut one side of the loop and tie the top bait to a single strand. Makes a real clean presentation.

I tie up three jigs in tandem for my local waters using two Palomar knots with a long tag. I like them 10- 12 inches apart. I run 1/64 oz size tube jigs in contrasting colors on the first two then the bottom one is usually a Road Runner or Slider grub. A smooth casting stroke is needed and other than the occasional snag it works pretty good for me. No swivels needed.

All great ideas. I prefer the loop knot on both the bottom and top jigs. Better action of the jig by freely moving in the loops. Here is a video of how it's done.

I use 3 way swivels. Top leader to jig or hook at least 12". Length of line from 3 way to weight depends on how deep I'm fishing. Am I fishing suspended fish or tight to cover of some sort? 18"-24" in open water and 12" for cover. Then another 12" to jig/hook. If you're not trolling very fast, .1-.3, then the top jig can tangle with other leader. Try just using a plain hook and put plastic body on it. Gives a lil more separation.

Ive got a question, I use the Capps and Coleman like Erwin B posted for Spider rigging, I have played around with pre tieing them with 4# and 6# hi vis mono, but they seem to get tangled and wrapped around the mainline often, while watching 6 hrs of football yesterday I figured I would pre tie some dbl rigs using some 30# hi vis line I've used for Cats thinking it is stiffer and wont wrap around the main line as much or at all. Question being has anyone used heavy 103? line to tie there dbl rigs for spider rigging?
Never used anything that big I use 8# florocarbon
If your top drop is longer than 6 inches..it will tangle more
I went a year using Floro on a lot of poles and rig leaders, that stuff is too brittle plus hard to see for me, plus I dont believe it matters to fish, I tie My top dropper 6" then down 18" than egg weight and 12" bottom dropper, still get tangles. I tied swivels on the 30# line thinking the jigs would move more freely lets hope this solves the problum
