Who knows? Won't know 'til it gets here!! They're never right anyway! I just want to fish!!
retired, two bottles of red wine and plenty of food, good to go....locked and loaded
sure hope they miss that forecast .Don't care if I ever see another snowflake or another busted water line .
Had a dusting this morning. Bring it on. Just don't want to drive with the idiots around.
They calling for 4 to 8 inches here in Yalobusha County.
You just had to do it. We get 3-6 inches y'all get 4-8 inches. Bigger crappie and now more snow down south. We can't have nuddin up here without y'all havin more. Lol
Lol, just the way it is Ty, suck it up!!! Lol
Down here they're saying rain and snow mixed with possible 2-3" accumulation. Hope we miss it too.
Up here we got 4 inches Tuesday night and are expecting anything from a dusting of snow, serious ice or up to 10 inches of fresh snow. They say the band is going to be so defined that one county may get nothing and the next county south gets hammered. Right now they have no idea where that band is going to be.
When ice is mentioned in these parts now, folks get into high gear. The 2009 ice storm killed us and some folks were without power for a month. I started my generator and ran it for a few minutes this AM. I run 7 freezers in my shop, 2 at home and 3 at my parent's house on the generator if we lose power. Better to be ready and they miss the forecast completely than to not be ready.
National weather service just increased the coverage area for the Winter Storm Warning. Extends a lot further south than it did this morning
Yikes, went out to check my generator and it wouldn't crank. Headed to the shop now.
Don't care how much it snows. It's the ice accumulating on trees that can knock out power that I worry about.nononoI know cray ain't got to worry bout that with that new generator!:biggrin
That ice is already on the trees now, Steve. And the snow is coming in on top of ice on the limbs! Not good!
Snowing like all Haiti right now at 6:02am. in Southaven.
Same here in OB. What cha got in Grenada Rees ?
Just ice for us right now.
Stay safe guys. I would take a foot of snow over 1/4" of ice.
I think the high winds up here at KY Lake may have saved us from major ice issues. We have ice under several inches of snow with the wind howling. Looks like it may be over for us in the next couple of hours. Clearing from the west on radar. Roads are undriveable (is that a word?).
Me either but they keep em rolling and sliding and turning over!!!!:banghead
Snow here now
There have been reports of snowplow accidents in Calloway Co,KY and Henry Co,TN---the 2 counties just south of us. I don't envy those folks. They not only have to put up with climate conditions but also the morons who think they can't live thru the day if they don't make it out to see how bad things are. Got 4-wheel drive makes them 10 feet tall and made of teflon.
Truth is four wheel drive and mudgrips aren't much help unless you drive with two wheels off the shoulder, front wheel drive car with chains will go almost anywhere.
It was 32 when I got up, now 30. Light snow on the grass and road looks clear. I-55 sounds like it's clear.
looks like it's gonna be a dud
Just a lite dusting here at 8 am. None since then.

I'll trade with you. This pic was taken an hour ago and it is still coming down hard. Ice under it.http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps0gpcrdzz.jpg
Kentucky and Tennesse gettin' hit hard! The low pressure drifted north off the Gulf and caused most of the moisture to be north us. Not enough to support the accumulation they predicted.
Started again here a few minutes ago.
Here too, slacked off now but that wasn't even showing up on the radar and there is a good bit coming that is showing up.
Bust!!! Drove to Abe's BBQ in Clarksdale today and ate. Gooooooood food too!!! Roads were good.
Abe's was on the Chowdown Countdown top 101 places in the country to eat. Had several places from Sippi on it. Lori and I went and man was it good. If you've never been, it's a "Gotta Try It" place. We really enjoyed it. Had a BBQ sandwich plate and Chili Cheese Tamales. The burgers are to die for, but that's gonna be another day!!! We will be back there!!! Bought a bottle of their BBQ sauce. It's Killer!!!!!!!

Not a flake let anywhere on my hill when I went out just before dark.
Drove down to the VA around 9am, almost had 385 to myself, less than 10 vehicles, came back around 1pm less than twenty cars. Thanks to all that made my trip very safe.
