Where is Phil's Landing?
Saline Larto complex, Phil's landing is west Larto.
Sorry west of Larto, said still rising. Should start slow fall soon
This was near the store,,,Larto Landing yesterday. This is a Boat house. Water is a few inches from the road, and the diversion canal road is under water
Wow!
Sad
Very Sad.
Think of it this way, without river coming and going out there wouldn't be near the fish in this complex. Same for the basin. This is what stocks lakes and bayous with the fish.
The old timers up there say around April it will be crazy good with monster fish
First day no rise at Larto. All zeros. Should start to recede.

This is our place 1-24-16. I am glad that the fishing will be much better now. We will have time to clean up before they start putting the thump on us.
Bummer Bruce!
Ouch.....
Sorry to see that Bruce. I know how much work that can be to clean up after such a flood having twice gone through that down here for hurricanes.
"gene"
I hope you have insurance. It still doesn't cover all and makes for a lot of hard work! In 2011 I had 18" in my camp. Just finished mid October getting things back straight. Lucky this time it didn't get in on me, but some others did by my camp.
that sucks....sorry dude....will pray and hope things go smoothly....
Man Bruce, that sucks! Hopefully you will have it functioning again before the next Larto gathering. Those shore lunches sure are nice!
Sorry to see that.
Oh yes we have insurance, but I doubt I will use it. It only a 15' x 20' room. I am hoping and praying when we pull the metal off the inside bottom 3' that we can just cut the insulation out put some blowers in there to dry it out. Spray some bleach and scrub and paint the floor install new insulation and then put the metal back on and it will be all good. The only thing I am really worried about is the cabinets at the bottom and pulling them out. I did learn some lessons though like next time I am going to pull the cabinet doors off. Install a "Dumb Waiter" to put the fridge and stove upstairs. We did put the fridge up on cinder blocks and was happy to see the beer was good and cold on Saturday. I am blessed I know there are some folks that got it a lot worse than we did.
Dwayne I promise it will be good to go for the next Larto Gathering!!!
Sure am glad to see this.

What's pool stage?
I think its 37.5
Darn Bruce sorry to see your camp in that condition. Hope the clean up goes well and if I can help in any way please don't hesitate to send me a pm..
I wanted to show you and idea for kitchen cabinets. I have some friends who have a camp. They are 86 years old and the wife said she loves her cabinets. She can pull them out and clean and mop behind them but also can see what is in them without having to get down on her knees. I just thought I would share a couple pics with you.

Thanks Crappie Trooper, I was promised I would have a couple of late 20's strong back guys to help me out (daughter's boyfriends). I sure appreciate the offer though.
That is the ticket with the cabinets, not sure my wife would go for it though. I am kind of worried about my cast iron, hope it has enough grease on it with all the humidly in that room.
