Hit Ft. Cobb yesterday. Not one bump until sundown. Then got 17 smaller fish, just above the brush. Strangely enough, light-colored jigs worked better than the darker jigs. Yellow/white worked best.
Does Ft Cobb still have an enclosed fishing dock? Is it heated?
no enclosed dock. you fish on the outside of the dock. during the winter time fish will only bite at night.
Thanks for response.
Got word fishing is picking up on the docks with some nice sized fish being caught.
Fished fort Cobb Saturday night/Sunday morning got there at 12:00 am. Super slow. I was told there were approximately 50 people earlier. There were 10 people left when I got there.
Lol maybe I was told a fish story
They were biting real good but you just heard the report a little too late
Came back to earth with a thud. Went over to Ft. Cobb dock, along with about 40 other people. Lots of people got skunked. I don't think anybody got as many as 10. I got 2 and missed 7 in 5 1/2 hours. I was thinking about blaming my poor catch on the ciller, since he was bragging me up (the way Brian Davis jinxes Kevin Durant) :biggrin on another thread, but I guess I won't.
Crappie are spawning in the willows and brush that grew up during the low water, but it's been about ten fish in the 9-10.5 inch range for every good fish (14"-16"). Kept this bleeder while fishing off Oney Dock, before fishing from the float tube in the brush and willows. Slow off the dock, but a steady bite from the tube. Lots of boats pulled up in the brush and willows, everywhere from Swan Lake to the lower portion of the lake.
