Satellite images have it looking very muddy, worse than the flood in October. I'm riding by tomorrow to check it out.
Still just over flood stage. Can't imagine it has cleaned up much, but hey, it's Wateree! Going Saturday or Sunday I think.
was down to my place yesterday looked pretty muddy and high but didnt see any trash floating
dont know what fish is doing but i know i got pretty big mess to clean up LOL
going back tomorrow to try to clean up some but i doubt if i get to fish any i will report what i see tomorrow
Lake looked pretty muddy today. I wouldn't waste my time. go to the lower end of Murray if you are still chasing striper, or I heard Norman is giving up a few too.
Another chance of rain Saturday, but it has decreased since yesterday. I might go Sunday for catfish. Don't think they care too much! Only bad thing is the barometer is dropping like a rock Saturday night. I will post a report as usual.
Catawba Catfish Tourney out of state park Sat a.m. 7:00 to 3:00 I think.
My aunt lives on the main river above the State Park and said the water color doesn't look too bad right now. 99' still a little high but fishable.

Couldn't see a green chartreuse jig after 8" down...pretty muddy.
Has any one seen what the water looks like in the last day or so? Need an update. Thanks.
Crossed the Wateree river a while ago on the way to N. Myrtle. The river looks like tomato soup. Not hear as high as it was, but still red mud. If the water in the lake looks like that, it would be pretty bad.
I when today. The water level is low now.But still muddy.I caught one striper not sure how he found my minnow .
I was out today too and pretty tough conditions. They must be pulling some serious water out of the lake still, cause the wind was pushing my boat one way, but my lines were going another. Made it very difficult.
was down there again today and it looks like it has fell 31/2 ft or more sense Friday and still muddy didn't see not one boat while I was there
and just about a dozen gulls flying. looked red as far as I could see. didn't come back by the bridges == they were working on the dirt road
short cut if there is any short cut == got two bridges out now.
hey G B M iffin you like muddy water you need to be on wylie or wateree that 8 inches is stretching it
After seeing Brandon's (Snap Hunter) latest report on the hill and seeing that "orange" water I can expect most any lake to be muddy. Just figured that if that much water was spilled then most of the mud woulda gotten pulled to the deep end. I guess we all can save our pennies and sit it out another couple weeks and hope things improve. Cant help but think of the Catawba tourney results though.....might be RIGHT for catfishing right now.
