I second that motion also. Thanks for the sponsorship.
Yep, we have a great new sponsor. Specific to the Florida Forum. Lets welcome aboard Scott and Tina of Skipper's Jigs. I've come to find out they are the little secret bait down here for Florida Specks. Darryl Cole uses them all the time. Darryl was at one of our events and handed some out. Shortly thereafter I placed an order. But don't go by me, you know I fish Griffin! The one fish lake. Try some out for yourselves.
I can tell you we will be having some raffles and contests for some of their goodies. I'm sure you all will like that.

Welcome aboard Scott and Tina
Hi Everyone,
Thank you for the warm Welcome.
We are a family owned company based out of Central Florida. Scott has been making jigs since 1988. We hand pour, powder painted and tie all of our Jigs using Mustand Hooks and our custom dyed Mylar. Go check out your Website at Skipper’s Jigs – Skipper's Jigs and you can also find us in many local stores. Store locations are found on our website.
If you didn’t see what you are looking for drop us an email and we will see if we can make it for you.
We are also a proud supporter of the Florida Crappie Club.
Good stuff! I have bought some at each FCC tx I fished.
Welcome aboard.
Have purchased items from SouthernTackle Works in Tavares.
First met Scott at Lake Monroe, while he was fishing with Darrell Cole. Scott left me with some of the good ice jigs.
Great family with a great product. Skipper's jigs catch fish in Georgia too! I put them to use every time I go out. Southern Tackle Works in Tavares has a big assortment of Skipper's Jigs (352) 742-0036.
Welcome Skipper's Jigs:welcome
Thanks a lot Scott. I am sooooo! glad we have a source to order skipper jigs easy. When I am out of state, and need some jigs, I can order them here.
I have been using them(Mylar) for about 2 years now. First got them at Sandy's bait shop (Southern tackle works), best jig for Florida crappie I have found anywhere. Thanks again!!!!
Welcome Scott &Tina
Been using your products now about 5 yrs..........and they are great...........
Thanks again for commin on board with CdC.....
One of the hottest items that Skipper's produces is the "Moon Jig" we refer to them
on FCC forum as Ice Jigs.........
This item is by far a very effective style jig - comes in many many colors.
Another thing with Skott - if you have someting and want it duplicated - Scott
with his creative mind can match it or build you a better jig.........- just give him
a call or send the product to him.
Skipper's dyes its own mylar - pours own jigs - most all coloring is done by powder
coat. When pouring jigs - tell him what jig your looking for and if he dosen't have
mold - discuss cost of making mold to your liking.............
good jig Scott. I buy all the time at Southern Tackleworks in Tavares (old Sandys) Work well on the Harris Chain where i mostly fish
Thank you!
We have some new colors in the Ice Jigs (Moon Jigs)! I need to add them to the Website but STW has them in stock now.
Great people and great products.
I want to keep it a secret but have to share.
Never tried a moon jig until we where in a tournament that we didn't do good in and read the results Harold wrote up and tried them.
Been using them since then and now use them more than any other jig we use.
In addition to the Moon Jig ( ice jig) Skott also makes what i call a Wobble jig,
looks like a large Ice jig except it is weighted thin to fat and jerks in odd, stange mode,
funny in water.
He will make them in multi colors to a persons liking, believe also has set in standard colors.
pic #1 - painted ice jig
pic #2 - 3 - 4 -5 unpainted wobble jigs 1/8 oz
pic # 6 - 7 painted wobbles
I first saw them maybe 30 yrs ago in Canada when we used them to jig for
Lake Trout.............in 100-150 deep water..........
I have found them to work pretty good down here at times.. I always have 1 or
2 on my rod set up - as well as always have 4 rods set up with single or double
ice jigs. If set them up as doubles Make sure the top hook has loop knot with
at least a 3-4 in leader - tie the leader off 2 -3 times to make line kinda stand out.Attachment 225424Attachment 225425Attachment 225426Attachment 225427Attachment 225427Attachment 225428Attachment 225429
