Thanks for report and pictures.
Good looking catch...............
Never even heard of it before. You may bo on one of them hidden gems. Nice pile of em!
i'm like you Mike, never heard of lake - but pictures are worth a 1,000 words and
there's proof positive. Also i am completely unaware what lakes are in that area.
I have found mud holes in central part of state that have names -that aren't even
on map....there because farmer down road told me about them.
Good looking fish from a sleeper of a lake. And welcome from Orange City.
This Lake is in Northern Leon County, Tallahassee, Florida.....Major Lake here but not as popular at Talquin or Jackson... The Ochlocknee River fills it when over flows....lots of marsh areas famous for duck hunting.....Google it... Prolonged low water levels have made the fish not what they were 25 years ago. But it is bouncing back beautifully....

Thanks for update and geography background of lake......
Very much appreciated.
Good looking catch taken from lake.
Great report, good info, nice fish !!
I was also there today. Limited out on some nice slabs. Took a kid from church for first time and he had a ball. We long lined. Iamonia is no secret.
A lot of the Talquin Gang fish there occasionally. Trying to keep it a secret....Aint no fish in Iamonia...Go to Talquin!!!:highfive
What is up with Talquin it has been very quiet
:donoThey being tight lipped....:Rofl
I Looked at lake Iamonia on google maps and about 95% of it is pads seems the boats and the fish would be bumping into each other:dono
Probably 75% covered but that 25% is a Jewel. No bumping into anyone
Very few boats to bump into due to no outboards this time of year. Haven't saw more than 5-6 boats on water fishing in a few weeks. A lot guys are hunting or don't want to be around duck hunters. Many Fishermen can find the lake tough many days of the year too. If you know it though it can be a great hole. There are some really nice fish biting right now.
Talquin fish are doing good near Blount and very well up the river. All lakes/rivers in our area have been hot lately. Seminole has been good up rivers in deep holes.
I was wondering about Seminole !! Thanks for the report!!
I think I'm gonna have to go troll around at Iamonia!
Got the hungries for some feeelays.....mmmm
