I'm getting a few fishing items for Christmas and some being planer boards for striper fishing. Just wondering what are some good planer boards to look at for striper fishing? Thanks

I like waterbugz for pulling baits under 6".
Thanks guys!
I second the vote for the waterbugzz planer boards.Ive been using them for many years. they will be a lot less money than other boards, made in NC and Jeff will get em to ya quick.also he sell replacement parts for them.
If you don't have one already, you need to add Fisholishous' book on SC Strper fishing to your list. I have one and it is excellent and written specifically for SC lakes. He has a good bit about planer board fishing in it.
Thanks Guys!
Ray thanks for the info I will add it to my list.
Lake world sells the waterbugzz planer boards. they are extremely easy to make if you can get some aluminum sheet pieces
I even use waterbugzz when trolling for Crappie, They pull out really ell at low speeds. .8mph

Check out Rock Creek Planer boards. They are very similar to the old Outcast boards. Great boards for pulling medium and bigger baits. No affiliation on my part, just always liked the Outcast boards (still use 6 of them). Water Bugz are good too. I use them for herring most of the time. They are a lot lighter and work better for me with smaller sized baits.
Ray, thanks for the recommendation. I have a few at Dreher Island State Park in the Lake Murray area now.
