He is scared of water

This is my pal Thomas. We worked together for years. He is getting his toys together before he retires next year. He has a new travel cooker and a new wine cooler. Thomas is a blue ribbon wine maker who has won many first places in Tennessee and nearby states with his excellent wines. He is also a great cook. He plans to do some catering after he retires. His son was one of my former students and recently graduated from Austin Peay State University and is now working in digital fingerprinting (a new buzz word for profiling). He is a good kid (or should I say young man).

I was at his house to pick up some Christmas cheers ( barter fish for wine) and convinced him to go out with me on our New Lake. He like eating fish ad I supply him, but he has now pledged to "try it". We will see.

What you see here is a good man.

Thats a good lookin cooker he gots. I am sure after he sees the Pondtoon he will settle a bit and by end of day be hooked. And you can tell he is a good feller in the pic. His hat is bent!

I hope he likes it. That Pondtoon of yours is equipped the best of any out there. I think they are very stable and safe, very comfortable on mine. I took a guy out that isn't real big on water. He didn't like it, said it was to close to the water and he likes "sides" around him. Oh well!!!

Buy him a good life jacket for Christmas and get em out there

He has good taste in friends. Just ease him into it on a nice day and he'll do fine. He's in for a real treat with some real fun.

Can't wait to see the look on his face after he finds out how enjoyable it is. Take him on a good day, show him about all the safety stuff you have, the life jackets, how they work and all that jazz. Let him drive the boat! Kind of treat it like taking a kid fishing for the first time (minus sitting on your lap while you drive):Rofl

Most importantly, take lots of pictures....

Oh, and after he finds out how great crappie fishing is, work on a screen name for him to join Crappie.Com

Talked to him today. He trying to crawdad on me.

Maybe it's just me, I don't allow anyone in my boat that can't swim. That includes my dogs. PFD's are fine I know. My grandson wasn't allowed in the boat until he took swimming lessons, in which he did.

unfortunately he is afraid of water for a reason, until that is resolved I don't fore see his first time being very enjoyable for him. I hope I am wrong.

Invite him to fish off your docks first so he can feel the water under him while he hammers those crappies you have there. Once he gets comfortable he may be okay going out on the toon. I have a friend who can't relax in a boat unless he can see the shoreline.
