WTG Rev!! That Grand baby will make a fine lil fishin partner in a couple years!!!!!!! Take him out and he will take you out later in life!
Looks like a nice trip.
Great pics, thanks for posting!!
Nice Job Rev, I love those sea trout to brother. Good eating.
First of all, congrats on your first saltwater trip. I LOVE saltwater fishing!
Second, be very careful with sting rays. I took a guided trip a couple of years ago. The guide was wearing shorts, and you couldn't help but notice he had a baseball-sized chunk of flesh missing from one of his calves. I assumed this was due to skin cancer. Later in the day, however, he said he had been stung by a sting ray, and they had to cut out the stinger. He always had a policy of never bringing sting rays into his boat. He made an exception, and it almost cost him his life.
Great report, beautiful fish, good eatin.
Those flounder are definitely good to eat. Rev, that grandson will be fishing with you in short time.
Man that is a nice flounder! Im foaming at the mouth! Great catch!
Good pix love the backwater fishing
Nice pictures. Looks like a great time.
Nice post.
I grew up on the east coast right on the backwaters. Everything you caught is fine eating. Even that stingray is good if you like the taste of scallops. Rule of thumb growing up in the salt water was
"Don't let it sting you, poke you or bite you." Do that and all will be fine. Very nice flounder for sure.
How do ya clean and eat the sting ray???? I catch them often when I go down there and I LOVE scallops!
Hard to beat some fresh seafood! What were y'all using for bait?

LOOKS like he could do some damage if he was still alive
Love some saltwater fishing. I don't put my finger in anythings mouth down there.
No need to cut the wings off. Basically fillet the wings. Make a cut straight down where the wing meets the body. Then fillet the wing meat out until you finish the cut at the tip of the wing. The top of the wing has the most meat but the bottom of the wings can be fillet too just not as much meat.
Cut into bite size pieces batter and fry just like any other fish. You can also take those bite size pieces and cook them in a crab boil but I like fried better.
Make sure the ray is DEAD before filleting. If you do get stung while wading or whatever meat tenderizer on the wound seems to help ease the pain. Best advice though is shuffle your feet along the bottom and spook them away to avoid getting popped. You do not want to get stung by a ray. The barb is serrated and is a very effective weapon. It would kind of feel like a double edged saw going into your skin.
Some good grub right there, congrats!
I always thought the sheep head was a pretty fish, looks like a lot of fun, congrats
It's all good....
