I've tried Mr. Crappie line before, and didn't care for it. It's stiff and a little brittle, and doesn't tie that well. I use Vicious and love how well it ties. This is just my most humble opinion, and doesn't make me right or wrong...just saying...:fish

I have tried just about every line out there and Mr. Crappie is my go-to for vertical jigging. Strongest mono on the market. Just bought two spools at Wal Mart last week for $10. Trust me, this is an excellent deal!
Here is a thread from a ways back about line. I'll use Mr. Crappie or Vicious or whatever is on sale. I'll use some 4lb up here, butI won't use any 4lb test while fishing with my buddy Nimrod. He done broke me from that:biggrin. Interesting read below.

Love it, use improved clinch knot and fish away.
I'm a vicious man myself, but the Mr crappie makes a good backer when spooling braid , good deal for sure , it would dry rot before I'd could use it though
