Thanks Bruce, we really appreciate you doing this once again. It makes it nice for everyone. Two other additions: Dwayne is in 16 and Pepop (Texas) is in 18. Don't know where Deacon is at.
Thanks Randy and Bruce. Randy I knew I was in the same cabin as last year but didn't remember which one that was. lol
Actually I'm in spot 19. I just looked at the email again.
I'm new to the forum but love to fish, will probably bring a guest or two. Booking an A frame, is too late?

Can my cabin number be changed to Cabin 5. Wife isn't going to be able to make it, so I moved to a smaller cabin. Just forgot to update info.
Deacon will be there. Just did not book the cabin yet. Probably will do so after the first of the year. I may go for a little longer than the three days and want to decide before booking.
Heck, all I catch is one fish a day so I need to go for a longer period of time in order to have something to contribute to the fish fry. Unless I can pitch-in a can of tuna fish.
I am really looking forward to the gathering.
To those of you, like me, whose lively-hood is the oilfield - I pray for you each day. Keep the faith!
your prayers will be answered...as well as all of our prayers....Look forward to seeing you Deacon.
Teach stell is in cabin 19
It will be good to see you again.

Six cabins are still available at San Miguel for the gathering. That's as of 1:30PM today. I did not ask whether they were standard or A-frame.
Good news to hear. I will book mine tomorrow. I am looking forward to the gathering. I Just purchased two new jig poles and will be ready for the trip.
I fished with Shadow this past weekend and only caught three fish to his fifteen. I figured for him to catch more than me it had to be that my jig poles were too old.
Welcome Allen!! Deacon, I would tell you why Dwyane caught more than you but,.....Only the Shadow knows......:dono
I'll be at wildwood cabin 5....Danny. pick me up at the dock:)
Will do Captain Vet.
Thanks! I'm looking forward to it. I'm in Cabin 11. I hope you guys are willing to do some teaching because I have only fished for Crappie once, and that was 2 months ago. Hoping to learn. I'm hoping one of my buddies from down south will show too. looking forward to meeting all of you!
I'm sure glad you put that map up Bruce, since I forgot which cabin I reserved! When do folks start showing up for this shindig?
I think Tracker123 and myself will arrive wed. A few are coming thur. "D"
I got cabin #12 and will arrive Thursday morning
Very nice turnout thus far. Maybe Bruce will update the campground map for us (put fishervet next door at Wildwood). Also - Skip, Bob, and Ferdi will drive over since they live close by. The pavilion is covered for Thursday as well for Danny's and Dwayne's shrimp peeling party.
Thanks for the update Bruce (see 1st post folks). Snakeriver (Bob) won't have a cabin because he lives on Toledo Bend now. I've been to his place - super nice. Is Didi's sister bringing the RV again?
Unfortunately, I had to cancel plans for this years trip. Cabin 5 is now available for anyone needing a cabin or wanting to move to another cabin. Ya'll have fun and will catch you on the next one.
Bruce, change Mae and I to cabin 5. We decided to not pull the camper, so we could just take one vehicle.
Two Texans from Canyon Lake area, Darrel Woodward and "TETF" Barry Dodd are staying in cabin #7. We will be there Friday afternoon. Since this is our first, what should we expect for activities and what should we bring? In other words, what is the agenda?

There is a copy below of "D"'s post in another thread below.....it pretty much sums up the agenda....eating is in the Pavillion over by the RV camping area.....you might find folks that are not fishing over there during the day drinking coffee....most folks do bring their boats and will be fishing....there is a boat launch and fish cleaning station just past the RV area....if you enter the big fish jackpot, just be sure you get to the weigh in by 3:30(see the Big Fish thread).....no morning check in when you head out.....go whenever you like.....the only group eating together is in the evening.....it is a "pot luck" where we bring whatever we like.....you are not required to contribute but feel free to do so....there is a food thread showing what everyone is bringing....you are on your own during the day for eating....also, see the post on a raffle....we have a raffle and donate the money to a local senior center....see the post about that.....
copy of "D"'s post below:.......
Couple important Notes: First shadow has been kind to us supplying shrimp for the frying on Saturdays. This year he is bringing them again. We are gonna help him out by having a shrimp peeling party in the pavillion either Thursday night after the treck to the El Gyro's or Friday night after the pot luck. All volunteers please show up. It takes a while to peel and devein 3 gallons of shrimp. Second and most important. The main complaint the last couple years is how late we eat. To help that Randy and I have moved up the fish pot weigh in to 3:30 at the fish cleaning station. This will help us to get the Saturday dinner going and served by hopefully 6 to 6:30. I can do the weigh in if it is a problem for anyone wanting to fish later and not weigh in. But be there at 3:30 if you want to weigh and participate for the pot. Once again it will be $5 per day.(a thread will be added later) We need to get the dinner done early, so we can get on with the raffle. We are inviting a representative from the Senior center to partake of the activities Saturday night and will present them the money after the raffle ends. I will be putting some item pics on that thread tomorrow. Please feel free to add to them. Tickets this year will be $1 for one, $5 for 6.
Thanks for joining us, it will be a pleasure for all of us to meet you. To sum it up in a short summary:
Thursday evening at the pavilion for soup/chili for those showing up early for a shrimp peeling party.
Friday evening is a potluck where folks bring dishes to share.
Saturday evening is our fry along with the raffle.
Big fish pot for Friday and Saturday. There are separate threads for the food/supply list, the raffle list, this list (what cabin are you staying at), and the big fish pot.
Let us know if you have any questions.
Cabin 9 for my friend, Bill, who was with us last year.
Cool fellas. I'm seeing 15 cabins at the San Miguel SRA rented thus far. Also included is Tal at Wildwood next door (cabin 5). Also, I believe Didi's sister and husband has an RV spot. I also want to include the folks that will drive over that live close by. That includes Skip, Bob (snakeriver), and Ferdi.
Bruce, please update - thanks.
Are you gents planning on fishing Thursday? I'm only 1.5 hous away so I'm thinking about fishing Thursday.
