Man that was some real low weights for Crescent. Looks like the ole girl is being stingy like Monroe this year.
Thx everyone. Thx for stopping by and introducing yourself Flcracker. I am looking forward to fishing with you over the next couple of months. It was also good to see some old friends and make some new ones this weekend also. Ron Presley was there and it was good to see him and his wife also.
Crescent was cruel and brutal to us this weekend but I had a great partner this weekend fishing with me. Hats off to Roger Milby for hanging in there:cheers2 Friday was windy and we only caught 3 or 4 fish, the biggest one was a 1.65 and the next biggest was a 1.2 lb fish. The other couple were Tater Chips. All of these were caught in one area late Friday so that's where we started Saturday morning. We started out just north of the island, then moved to the north east end of the lake, then to Dunns Creek, then Hurricane Point, made a stop 1/2 way between Hurricane point and the island, back to the island, then made the run to the canal that goes into Dead lake. We saw sunshine, rain, clouds and wind all day long......That was a heap of riding for only 9 fish!!!!. The last 3 fish we caught were the biggest all day and they came within the last 30-45 minutes of the tournament. Our biggest was a 1.41. I was almost ashamed to weigh in our 7 but glad we did. A whopping 5.56 was enough to earn us a 2nd Place finish. I have never fish a tournament where the weather was nice to me on Crescent, but this weekend was even worse with not catching hardly any fish....Definitely a tough weekend but Kudos to all the anglers that toughed it out!!:highfive
Good job Tim, tough conditions for sure, Crescent is tough in the wind
Nice work Tim, sounds like ya had to work for it !! :cheers2
Thx!!!! Worked real hard for those few fish. Drove over 50 miles in 2 days on the water to find what few we did catch, but I learned a little bit more about the lake.
I'm sure you learned some more about Crescent coverin that much water.
Those are some low weights for Crescent, wow. Especially for a 7 fish weigh in:yikes
Great. WTG Tim.
Great job. Congrats.
Congrats Tim. You do much better with a boat that floats...LOL
Thx Danbo...Although the fish were not biting, it was a much more pleasant experience!!!
Good Job under horrid conditions Tim, WTG!
Congrats on hanging in there and sticking with it. 2nd Place is 2nd Place no matter the weight. It all pays the same. :HandsClapping:ThumbsUp:cheers2
