Thanks Doug I been trying to find web site for the Barkley bridge. I look at the KY Lake bridge every day and it's amazing how they build bridges. I would like to be there when they lift the arch up on the KY bridge.
If the weather looks passable I'm heading to Cherokee Park early to get a good spot.
Obviously a different Cherokee Park. The one near Aurora is quite infamous as it was the Blacks Only park in the '50s built by the TVA when the Kentucky & Barkley Dams were being built. Recently refurbished it is just north of the construction site and will offer a good vantage point to watch the goings on.

Is the lift happening today?
Got the boat out today and took some pics of the bridge construction. No doubt the new bridge is going to be much higher and wider then the old one.

I sure hope they leave some concrete debris when they blow out the old piers ...

I was probably on the bridge when you were under it. I didn't see you because I was paying attention to where I was going and trying to squeeze my steering wheel one size smaller (Jeeees I hate those bridges).
How's the boat doing doug
It's been driving me crazy getting it propped. I've ran it 7 hours for break-in (probably close to the total hours I put on my previous Yamaha for a year). I have settled on a Trophy Plus 13.5X21 4 blade and a Power Tech 13.5x22 3 blade. I've got to have a spare prop so both these work equally well. I do know it is one HEAVY rig and I still haven't put tackle in it. Top speed is 44.3mph. I thought it would be faster but the way it's loaded, it won't pick the nose up and carry it high enough to get any more speed without starting to porpoise. It is smooth and dry in rough water. I think it will do anything I ask of a boat. Just got to get some fish slime on it now.
It sure has turned some heads at the ramp and on the lake. Wish I had a $10 bill for every question I have answered.
It sure is nice looking The weight will be your friend
