Mmmmm. I have not had a Chess Pie since my Grandma died about ten years ago. I think I need to go see about getting my hands on her recipe.!!

Sho looks good! Love some bluegill fillets.
Look good coach. Never had a chess pie. What is it?
Had my first ever piece of chess pie at father-in-laws house last Friday. It won't be my last! That stuff is awesome.
Tracker 123 insisted I post my recipe for cheese pie. I'm from Kentucky and these are one of my favorites. For a special treat toss in some pecans. According to my cousin who still lives in KY, if you add pecans and chocolate chips then you have yourself a Derby pie. :)
1 deep dish pie crust
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons vinegar
11 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons cornmeal
4 eggs
Cook sugar and butter over low heat until well mixed. Add vinegar and meal, mix. Add eggs, mix well. Put in unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees for an hour or so until brown on top.
The Kentucky girls do this this regular. It's their state pie, I call it a half-azz pecan pie, but it works in a pinch. It semi-works for me, I tolerate it.
