Another awesome day OTW!

Went a little earlier today but, to my surprise the parking lot was full at 6am....YES.....Duck season & looks like the Air-boat guys are going to get there own fancy launch set-up as well, construction pic below. Well as for the fishing they were biting the dark colors often & aggressively, road-runners, beetle-spins, & double 1/16th jigs, had a run that produced a fish on every pole, I can say they worn me OUT!! As for the Derby:Doh:....I forgot the ruler & token at home & remember seeing photos of people on there website w/pics in their backyard, so I thought ok take them home & photo.......then read the fine print stating a Catch & release format:banghead......oh well I have 5 days off next week to get it right:biggrin....here's a few pics..Oh yeah, Lake Harney

Good looking fish there. You did a little better than I did. My gremlin hadn't gotten completely out of my life yet, and the weather was kinda iffy looking so I bolted about 8:30 and headed to the Deland Art Fair and the battery store. 2 new series 29 ought to take care of the problems. I had 13 on the counter when I left and 4 were shorts and 1 hybrid that tried to take the rod home with him. All the rest were good enough to go to dinner and only one was a 10". Oh yeah, Monroe. Gotta work a few Saturdays coming up, but may catch up with you soon. You had a good day.

We was there before light this morning too = didn't see ya .....
We got twenty but wern't no monsters in our batch ........
Lots of little ones = that lake sure looks good for the next few years ....
Stopped in the resturant and waitress said that construction was putting in "power line poles".....
There wasn't a single parking spot in the whole area, we didn't know what in the world was going on ....
Upon coming in (just in front of the rain) FWC & Sheriffs were out there checking duck hunters, didn't bother us......

Looking for "Monroe" reports" ?????

Hey Danny, didn't see ya launching, but passed you on the water & shouted to your partner to "GET" from my spot:Rofl, then told you guys some nicer ones could be had on the North end, although I fully understand your "Attention Def" when I past the dude w/the gal in the bikini :yikesovercast skies & 75F=hey now....he asked what's up with the guy in the banshee w/binoculars following his boat....told him it's just some olde salt that gets confused when the gar surface & he thinks it's crappie tailing...he musta thought it was a different type of tailing & wasn't buying it when he replied...IN 7 FOW:Rofl

I said "That's our fish" when you pulled that one in,
and you said something to the effect "this is my spot" .....
I recall, my partner was saying, that dude just said he'd caught 11 14"r's on the north end and, wanted to head that way .........
And I responded to him, "Now, if he'd of caught 11 14"r's on the north end, why was he here fishing in our area" ????????? LOL ! ! ! ! !
Yeah, was a pretty gal for sure, we had to come up close to em to be able and discuss the fishing.
A few years ago my partner had given me a pair of binoculars that I kept in the boat, but, beginning of this season I decided to
clean out the dry compartment and found the binocs all corroded and worthless, was telling him we sure needed them today for sure .....
I like to stop and chat when I run into somebody out there, ya shoulda ID'd better .............
I do remember the voice striking a familiar ring to it, hmmmmph ! ! ! missed a good chat .........

While we were in that area, we hooked a "SNAG", partner thought it was a big cat daddy, but turned out to be a snag ! ! !
I have "NEVER" found a snag in that lake ! ! ! !

Am going again Tuesday, not sure where to go, Monroe or back to Harney ............

It's all good Danny, can't exactly stop on a dime when pulling 8 poles....I was in the middle of a track when running up on ya still catching fish, so I let it run it's course, however, boy howdy did I revisited that North end....thanks for the clarification about construction = P.O. Air Boaters
