He should be very happy with those, they look great. I bet the crappie will like them too. I always start with a blue/white on clear water.
I've never had any luck on blue, but I have never really gave them a chance. Those are some nice looking jigs. I'm really starting to like these style of jigs.
Blue, blue/white, blue/chartreuse are good colors for black crappie down here.

Thanks Vet...do you use blue jigs?
I've caught plenty on chrome/ blue back cranks
Just checking with the guys in the know
so...just so ya know....I'm really not in the know.....my recent confidence is completely new along with my catches......and yes the chrome with blue backs has been successful for me as well.....haven't used a jig since the attack of the cranks.....LOL.....will probably long line some in this lake as soon as the water cools down some.....blue will be in the mix but my go to color is always black and chartreuse......never caught a fish on a hair jig till last year when you sent me some of yours........there must a been a jig in that bunch that was red and white and TINY....that taught me to downsize in colder weather....thanks TGE......hope to meet ya some day.
I have caught allot of crappie on blue/white jigs.

exact color I like, do good this time of year , did good on dbone exept w pink head? dangit
Blue and white tube jigs, been my favorite for many years.
Really awesome jigs TGE. You can tell the work you put in on em'. They'll be deadly. As far as blue goes, blue n white is a staple jig here on The Pearl........
And most of SE LA that I've read of.
If it ain't blue and white, it's black n chartreuse (green chartreuse seems to be the fav over yellow).
Hard part in tying blue n white jigs is that the right color blue chenille I haven't found.
Good to hear from a nearby guy.
