Vicki spent most of the day putting it together. We still have a couple of pages to add, namely links to all my sponsors and friends.
Tell me honestly what you think. You'll see some familiar faces.

Looks good Doug! One misspelled word under the fishing trips tab. Convenience.
Fish will be cleaned and packaged for your convience
Other than that I love it!
Keep up the good work. Headed in the right direction!!
I would suggest a Facebook account too for advertising.
Looking good! Hope you have great success!
Looks great
Very nice. Well thought out and explains about everything. Good luck and it will be fun watching you grow as a fishing guide. Keep your good nature and all will be fine! Ms. Vicki done good!!!
Good Luck! The site looks good. Down the road you might want to add a video clip or two of maybe catching a few trolling or if you could get a video of a kid catching a fish would be a big plus.
You definitely have more patience than me to take on the guiding.
Hopefully the work end of it won't take away from the real reason we all love to be on the water............The pure pleasure!!!
Website looks great to me. Anxious to see your new boat and watch your business grow to be successful.
Looks good makes me want to come fish with ya maybe toward the spring.
Site looks good and wish you all the best. The big sell will be that excel 203. Being able to accommodate 5 fisherman in one boat is awesome. I agree that Facebook will be an added selling point and way to reach alot more fisherman. Good work.
Would be nice to put that video of you trolling crank baits with Randy up there. Great job on the website.
Good Luck Doug. That new boat might help a little, but for those who know you and your knack for fish catching, you'll be the main attraction. Knock um dead buddy. :ThumbsUp
I checked the website and did not see an "Apparel" tab. I want a Crappie, Gills & More Hat.
You have one excellent website. Very impressive.
I know you've been eyeing those wide brims hanging at the shop.
I got ready to order a cap from Excel Boats a couple nights ago. The cap was $15.99 but the only shipping option was $16.95. For $16.95 shipping ona cap they should hand deliver it and put it on my head. I decided my Crappie.com cap was just fine.
Very nice web page
I need to do one also
Yep, so I can put it on my links page.
Mark, I can fill you in on the site Vicki used to set ours up. Somebody with more than basic knowledge of computers should be able to set one up. You just have to know what you want it to do and what you want it to look like. Mine is costing me less than $150 a year. We are going to revamp the taxidermy site soon also.
On putting up a Facebook account :
Yes, it will likely help drum up some business ... but, it will have to be monitored often. If you've checked out the Crappie.com FB page, you may have noticed that it can get some "unwanted" postings every now & then. Porn, people advertising their own products, foul language, and other such problems have occurred on their page. I've had to "report" several of these instances.
And since Slab's wife mostly runs the page, there's really not any questions answered by her ... she just posts some articles & threads from this site. If it's a business site, you're likely going to get people posting questions .... so you may need to spend quite a bit of time keeping up with what's happening on your page.
You might also consider business cards, and place them in surrounding "fishing related" businesses/shops.

Yep, you can make it non-interactive, but then it just looks like another advertisement page. If you go that route, though, you do need to have access to the link to your website ... so that people can ask questions & make arrangements for the guided trip.
Social Media can be a double edged sword is all I'm saying.

:Rofl ... I know what you mean, brother !! And precisely the reason I do not have access opened on my cell phone !! Between this site, another fishing site, FB, & 3 email accounts, it can consume several hours a day ... just to look through, let alone post a reply or keep up with any degree of correspondence
