Nice ! Picture alone weighs 4lbs !
Nice ones , spider rigging your reservoir ?
Dude I'd have loved to gotten in on that! To catch them like that, you must have fished in the rain! LOL
Boy Ole Mac daddy, another buddy and I met up for some thumping. The bite was really slow but after changing what we were doing wrong (fishing in water with inactive fish) it picked up quite a bit. We started out in 18-22FOW. Alot of fish were on the graph, but the bite was TERRIBLY slow! Finally decided to make a move and should have done it earlier. Moved to 8-12FOW and the action started picking up! Still not a fast bite, but fast enough to keep us out there in the rain! Man we were wet! Some of these fish Slammed the pole! I will say....indeed I got outfished! But..... The 2 big MAMA's was all me. Had to get that out there before Bobby started claiming them! It was a great trip with great friends! We laughed so hard! I fell for my own trick.....SLADE THERE'S ONE ON UR POLE!!!! There really wasn't a fish on but I just about turned the boat over getting back to my pods! Was spider rigging double minnow rigs at 0.3-0.5mph. I meant to post this earlier, but I have been really busy DRYING OFF MAINLY!
Hahahahahaha sure did fishing the rain! Hard to beat that! Wish I could have gotten some action photos during the trip but was scared to get my fone out!
I will post the post trip pics of what the fish looked like the next day! :biggrin
Very nice!

Nice story and slabs! Im drooling!
LowePro what type of breading you use on the fish, it looks nice and thin, hate fish when breading is thicker than the fish. Have fork and knife will travel.
My in-laws have a restaurant and I am able to order fish meal thru their food provider. I believe it is from Sysco. I buy it in 25lb bags for $25. I also use corn meal mix, corn flour, and cornmeal in a ratio of 50:25:25 then add seasonings of choice.
Any meal will work. But the secret (not really a secret but for some reason most are unaware of it) is I take a shower towel and pat my fish totally dry before I drop them in the meal. Then I meal them. When they come out of the meal they look like they don't have near enough on them, but they do. Drop them in the grease and they come out perfect and crispy.
I used to think I needed the fish wet to get them thoroughly coated with meal. And I had a bunch of excess and also ruined my grease from all of the cornmeal coming off. I am on the same grease that I bought April 2014. And every batch of fish keeps getting better and better. Of course I strain the grease and put it back into their containers when I'm done but still it's a year and a half old lol
If ur grocery store does not have corn flour... Use corn meal mix and regular corn meal in a ratio of 75:25. Come on down anytime and I will throw some together brother!
Thanks for sharing the info. What part of AR are you in ? I'm in HSV when i come down so i scoot over to Nimrod and see CA. Fished Hamilton and the big Qua also all the lakes in HSV. I come down every chance i get with the boat i was just there in Oct. Thanks again LowePro.

I live in dewitt arkansas. About 25 minutes or less from the white, arkansas, and mississippi rivers. But travel for my fish mostly. Hahahaha. Man do you ever do any good on those big clear water lakes? I think they are beautiful but have never fished em! U ever fish Greeson as well?
Greeson and Nimrod will be in April of 2016, me and two guys that i fish with will be there for a week. I fish the White river in Flippin, the sons in-laws have Sportsman resort so for a change of pace go catch so trout.:fish
