STRIKE 3 and i was OUT .....
Of there. Went on a multi species excursion, strike one was to get a big buck on opening day of Texas rifle season . got that covered at 8 am sharp . took it in to the locker and returned to accomplish my second strike . 2 hours later and bunches a crappie strike 2 accomplished ,released them and took a short nap in the truck in preparation for strike 3 . strike 3 was a failure only because the were no hogs coming out for me to take to the locker ,just a bunch a deer .
and of course after strike 3 I was out ....on my way home to eat some dinner and tell some hunting stories .
sure did enjoy the pleasant temperature and beautiful day . it was raining for the entire drive out there and still raining a bit in the early morning ,but when it cleared out around 7 am it was a really pretty day . and boy howdy were the deer busy being fall deer . running all over the place and totally unaware of my presence . cant beat that for sure !
used several baits on the crappie and a 30 06 on the buck .....
got some ok photos and something for the freezer as well .....
and no the buck walking away was not the buck I took ....to young ....
and there you have it ....3 strikes and I was out and that was my Saturday :ThumbsUp
