Crescent is dead at the moment, have had daily reports nothing being caught ....I hope I didn't catch all of the fish last season :banghead ...then again knowing that I'm around they won't go past Georgia Boys in Dunns Creek to go to Crescent :Rofl
Specs will begin to start a massive feeding frenzy on December 7th and continue to feed all week.
Hi Vic let's open the gate!!!:fish
Eating and moving around on the flats
One of the National Crappie Sponsors has tournament on 11/28 - ought to
interesting seein their catch rate.
Water will have to start cooling down to get anything to start -
Migration - freenzie feeding - etc..............
I wish I would've read this last night. I went today and didn't get a bite.
I was there last year in Mid November...no boats....we did quite well. This year went in early October and caught one dink. :(
We tore them up last year on November 11th but it was also cool when we went. I'm holding off going until we get a week or so of "cool" weather. May be December before we hit it right.
We did good Dec 26 last year.
I can tell u where else is DEAD after 8 hours on the water today to recoup some sanity. Want to guess?
You are so correct: This warm - hot / high pressure system that has been setting
on us for 14 days - as got to break and allow cooler air to come down, thereby,
cooling water so as fish will start to migrate and become active. We are by far
much higher in temp. this year vs last...
There are fish in Crescent as we speak......they don't all come in during spawn....
Crappie eat year round - just have to spend more time locating them.
One of reasons we run 20 tournaments a year on various lakes, various times of
year - makes a person work on improving his skills to catch fish.
I'm sure when you arrive Vic you and the Crappie Queen will catch em. Give me a shout with some reports.
Thanks
Dan
