I will go first. 2.6 lb. Minner under cork in Wateree. The bride has a 2.9 off our dock also. She lets me know quite often about it. That was on our hand held scale which is all we had to go by. Still count dont it?
Night fishing Jordan back in 96 ,Minnows, 3.4 lbs, 17.5 inches long, got it mounted on the wall. Got a good story to go with it, I was using gold hooks with leaders, my fishing buddy was using just gold hooks, I caught this fish about 1 am, got it to the boat, my fishing buddy couldn't get the net out, so he reach over and grabbed my line and tried to pick it up and it broke off, made him sick, we kept fishing, about 3:30 am I told him to get the net I had another big one! Well, we got it in the boat and guess what was hanging out of his mouth, a leader with a gold hook. Go figure.
THE BIGGEST CRAPPIE I EVER CAUGHT CAME FROM UNDER 378 BRIDGE ON CLARK HILL
DID'NT WAY IT BUT I WOULD SAY CLOSE TO 3 lb
THAT WAS BACK IN PROBLY 91 OR 92
CAUGHT IT DOWN LIGHNING MINNOWS IN DEC OR JAN IT WAS COLD
AND WE WERE NIGHT FISHING ME AND MY POPS.
AND IT WAS'NT JUST ONE EITHER :fish:fish
2.9 lbs. off the Duke Power point on Crowders Creek on Lake Wylie a long time ago. Cork and hot spot jig. Yellow with a red head. She's mounted, but looks so bad, she's in the top of my closet.
About 2lbs on a jig at tiger river pond this past may
3lbs 2oz, longlining on Clarks Hill.
2LBS 11OZ trolling at Lake Oconee. Hoping to catch a 3 pounder at Crescent Lake this year.
2 lb 6 oz (2 of 'em) longlining on clark hill. Prior to those 2 it was 2 lb 4 oz (2 of 'em) night stalking on Lake Russell.
As for me, I think the post I had a week ago may be my biggest. Didn't weigh it but I'd guess it was 2 or so.Attachment 218519
I mounted this one
INTO A HOT OIL TROPHY CASE!
You didn't bake him?????:Rofl
I got a 3lb 5oz under my belt, weighs on certified scales. Was longlining santee when I stuck her.
Mine was 2lb18oz caught on albs line in the hurricane force winds....Oh wait you said be honest, forget what I just said :-)
3 pound 1 oz - 17 1/4'' --- caught while fishing and everyone on the lake knew when I caught it!!!! :) :Rofl
Never thought about weighing them when I was younger because they were table food for a bunch of us kids. Only started weighing when I met ofishlbizzness and Uncle Remus here on CDC. I think around 2.8 is biggest on lake Wylie 2 years ago with my sister and brother in law on a minnow cast to brush and letting it dead fall with slow retrieve.
Guess I better get a scale.
Oldfish, where'd you get your Lala Land scale[emoji23]
Just shy of three pounds by a couple of ounces, but caught two the same day just under 3 pounds trolling carolina rigs with minners.
2lbs 15oz (2x). lake wylie. caught them after you went in my spot and picked out the small ones ;)
Did not weigh it, but I caught one on Clarks Hill about 2 1/2 lbs single rod casting stinger tail jig around a dock. I don't think I have ever caught one pushing or over 3 lbs like a lot of you, so GPS coordinates would be helpful.http://www.crappie.com/crappie/image...s/big-grin.png
Edit: just noticed this post just got me past "minner" status! http://www.crappie.com/crappie/image...y_highfive.gif
2.9 lbs for me on Sardis

2 lb. 10 oz. twice. once longlining clark hill, one casting a jig at the bank on clark hill.
Let it out
We're here for you
Several years ago I caught a 3# 1 oz . I got back to the marina where we kept our boat and I went to the store just up the road to get it weighted . About a year later I was cleaning my boat in the marina and the wife asked me where was a good place to fish , well I just pointed out the back of the boat . While I was washing the boat down some and messing around the wife yells I GOT ONE , We took it to the same store and it weighed 3# 1oz. . I just told her that to get her off my back while I cleaned the boat up . We were at what was Seneca marina at the time on Hartwell . The old saying "the truth is stranger than fiction" often comes around to all of us .
My 2 personal bests came on back to back days this past March while fishing Clark's Hill for the S.C. Crappie Association Classic. I took the Friday off before the tournament to practice and had not been on the lake but one other time in my life and that was about 5 years ago. We must have hit them just right because I found the fishing to be good everywhere we went on the lake. My second stop of the day landed me in an area where we eventually won the tournament the following day. I boated a PB 2 lb 10 oz hen loaded with eggs in that spot during practice.
Then, on tournament day, we went back to the previous day's big fish hole and started fishing. An hour went by with no bites and I was beginning to panic. Finally, a rod went down and i had a new PB on the line! A 2.79 weighed on the tournament scales.
Due to the circumstances and catching them back to back days I'm getting both the fish mounted. The 2 lb 10 oz was weighed on a cheap set of Rapala scales and I'm not sure how accurate they were. The 2.79 weighed 2 lb 9 oz on the same Rapala scales so I have my doubts on their accuracy. And the practice day fish appeared to be bigger in a side by side comparison. I was, and still am, very proud to have caught each of them!
Both were caught spiderriging the shallow water in the back of a creek.

The largest was 3lbs 1oz, I have also been bless to have caught 3 more 3lbs. and some where around 30 fish that weight 2lb 14oz to 2lb 15oz all were caught in Santee. It only took 55 years to do this, but what a great time I had.
3.4lbs. Lake Wylie under Seven Oaks bridge, Catawaba Creek, NC side.Dec. 1996.
Minnow. Night stalking. Around 11:00.
Tasted good too. Had a fiberglass mount done.
My best ever was in March 2012, longlining on the Hill. Already had my best big fish day ever, with a 2 lb 2 oz, 2lb 6 oz, and a 2 lb 9 oz in the livewell. Hung a heavy fish that I was sure was a flathead catfish...almost fainted when it surfaced. I quit fishing and drove to Iva, SC where they had a contest going on and certified scales. After weighing the "small" three, I pulled out the giant and she weighed 3 lbs 10 oz. Kept all 4 swimming in my 50 gallon bait tank for 24 hrs while I pondered mounting options. In the end I released them all at the boat ramp closest to my house (and even closer to GABowman's house!) Still waiting to re-catch them.... :biggrin
P.S. One more funny story, the next day I took two gentlemen fishing who had never been crappie fishing. A trolled rod goes down, and one reels in a fish weighing 2 lbs 12 oz. He turns to me and asks "Is this one big enough to keep?" :Rofl (And he was serious!)
