Well got to ramp at O dark hundred and Stu already launched and gone, Phantom was launched but was rigging poles, shortly he finished and was off as well. Jeff and Andy rolled in shortly after as well as a pile of other folks. We headed out in 3 directoons and all seemed to fair well. Skeetbum finally made it out but had a Phantom trolling motor. Was pulling boat out at 11 and low and behold her comes Speckanator round the bend, guess he got a yard pass afer all. Next weekend should be stellar if ma nature cooperates. I ended with 25 home and 19 throwed back. Had 3 between 13" & 14" rest were 11" - 13". Any way heres yer pics.

Well, my hole must've played out, I only got seven, only one of them was a biggie.....
Trolling motor averaged 1.3-1.4 mph, a little fast for me but HS says it's bout right (for him)....
Looked for everyone else only saw HS at dock in mornin and HS & Speckanator at dock coming out.......
Job well done for those guys ! ! ! !
Got to the ramp and got reminded why I don't go on the weekends...:banghead Had to wait for three boats to finish launching before I could get in.....all the parking was taken had to park whereever I could find a place to squeeze in....enough complaining....great day.... plenty of 12 to 13" fish even one that measured 14 3/4...:yikesPlanning on trying it again next week...maybe Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday or Friday.....then maybe all of them. WAIT! I know one day I've got to stay home and clean house and do laundry :Rofl
Finally thought I was gonna get to go and for the first time ever my TM batts were flatter than ......whatever. A couple of hours on charge gave me a grand total of 8 minutes trolling time. I did get one keeper and a short, both still swim, and had a good day regardless. Danny turned around in front of me but not knowing who I was, or maybe he did know, he spun and planed off to the horizon. Good to see you Dan, nice rig. Speckanator, Stu, Mike and Andy all had a howdy for the rookie. Good to see you all. And I got to give a special thanks to Andy for the best offer I have ever had on the water in my life. Knowing my batts were gone he offered to tow me around so that I could get a few fish. In doing that I'm sure his catch rate would have gone south. Many Thanks for the offer. I knew when I left the house that fish would just be a bonus, I had to clear the head more than anything. Once the wind picked up I was able to drift between .6 and 1.1 so it wasn't too bad considering. Looking into my gremlin and hope to see everyone next Saturday. MAN, these fish are dark!! Look like Tennessee fish with a tan.
Some rod benders for sure today, (3) larger than 1lb 10oz, if the crappie Gods:pray allow for good weather next weekend.......
... I will not be surprised to see a 9lb stringer of 5 fish come in to weigh, looks like we may have timed it just right for the SLABFEST:cheers2

Didn't see HS or Speckanator out there, only at the dock ........
I recall coming off plane and looking at a fellow in a BassTracker but didn't see anyone waving at me, so, headed on in, that was probably you = sorry, I shoulda come on up closer etc, etc ......
I guess everyone went to the opposite end of the lake I went to cause I never seen anybody where I was etc ,.....
But that's OK................................................ . now I got a bearing on my "new spot/spots" ......
Was a nice morning for sure, and, my trolling motor did ok I guess, not used to going that fast but was acceptable and HS put his stamp of approval on 1.3mph -1.4mph, gonna have to get used to it .....

Mike, I had a few with gar damage too. Caught one gar and grabbed his beak with pliers and broke off his beak. Then awhile later I swear I caught the same fish, think he was just trying to make me feel bad for brakeing off his beeky.
I think I figured out some things = Sometimes my rod will bend down and I think I got one, only to pick it up and nothing's on it = I think those are gar messing with it etc etc, etc .......Quote:

Hes prolly still out there pullin. Hes got like 300 batteries on that boat.
LOL....... I got there zero dark thirty and got the sled in the water and parked on shore. Noticed it was real calm, only one or two boats so I figured I would motor out slowly following my GPS trails and park on the lake and enjoy the sunrise. It was an awesome morning with near perfect conditions. The only other people I saw during the day were Andy and Skeetbum. Only pictures I took were of the sunrise itself :)
Fishing was still good but no slabs like a few of the others but still some very nice fish. I called it a day after lunch on the water drifting.............just filled with contentment..........completely relaxed, even thought about washing the ole boat once I get home............. once I got home..............a nap got in the way of that but other than that it was a wonderful day to be a fisherman. :)
Skeetbum!!!! nice to meet you finally and am looking forward to seeing you around a lot more my friend. Your going to fit in wonderfully with our crappie crazy family around here. Gald to see you got your power problems back in line. Looking forward to seeing you again soon.
The last image from that day I'm taking with me is the image of Andy returning in from the lake motoring down the river............laid back in his boat like a low rider enjoying the ride................ yup that about sums it up............. awesome stuff.............and Ill never get enough of it for as long as I live. :highfive
