I am almost embarrassed to admit it, but I loved me some ABBA! Dancing Queen may be my second favorite.
Take A Chance on Me FTW!!!

Their music was as close to disco as I dared getting. I liked most of their stuff but I still can't get past this: best rock band of all time that isn't yet in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.
Deep Purple with the late Jon Lord on organ.

Super Trooper
Imagine that! Female singers relying on talent rather than trotting around 3/4+ naked to sell music. Most all today could learn something from them.
A little later but how bout these ladies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41P8UxneDJE
I rate ABBA right up there with boy George and wham! Seriously several man cards should come up for review.
ABBA .....REALLY ???
Even if I did liked them I wouldn't admit it, on a manly fishing board at that.
I refer you to Gomer's post. Lol
I really like the old cowboy ballads by Marty Robbins and Roy Orbison did some too. I put Desperado up there with them. But some folks like Elvis some don't. Same thing with ABBA or any other artist.
Led Zeppelin rules. There isn't a white man alive that can play blues like Jimmy Page. The lyrics and the poetry are outstanding with their music.
You're right, very good.
Tracker have you heard of Sister Rosetta Tharpe ? If not let me introduce you to the lady who inspired most of the blues artist we love.
