How I Spent A Rainy Day

Didnt want to fool with hunting or fishing today and since we have a family re-union tomorrow anyway I decided to light my fairly new smoker. Here's the shoulders 7 hrs into the smoke...

Just ordered my set of meat claws today since NOBODY in my town sells them so me and the Mrs. used forks (a bit of a pain with hand cramps) shredding the meat but we made it thru it. Anyway, turned out great. Supper was out of this world and the family will get to enjoy about 10 lbs of BBQ as part of their lunch tomorrow. The other 10 lbs went into0 my freezer for some of those cold wintery nights when you looking for a good and quick-to-fix meal. Anyway...that how I spent my day today.:)

Yum...I can be in Elberton in a couple of hours. What time are we eating tomorrow???:biggrin

Smoked until internal temps was 150* (7 hours), covered with foil for 2 hours, then back on the smoker unwapped for the last hour to tighten 'em back up.:)

Checked my mail today. Still no invite. Dang snail mail.
